Even if he could land a shot, I doubt the Sigma Male would hit a vital organ or anything that could greatly hinder Hai. Something to keep in mind with Patrick Bateman matches is that it's intentionally left ambiguous whether the majority of his feats actually happened or not, though you can figure out some of the stuff that are most likely delusions such as the whole shootout scene and him blowing up a police car with a pistol.
The combat speed of that faster character is assumed to be equalized to the combat speed of the slower character. Every other speed the faster character has is reduced by the same multiplier. This includes the speed of any attacks, projectiles, reactions, perception, flight, etc.
