Whis' statement didn't get contradicted. And usually a confirmation from a character over an event we didn't saw is much more reliable than the contradicted bull**** said by the narrator.
What? You misunderstood my comment. I brought Golden Freeza only once in this thread and it was to prove...
Pretty sure that Elder Kai said that the universe was gonna get destroyed when the energy spreads across the universe. Something like Omega Shenron's Minus Energy which was spreading across the universe and was going to destroy it via a chain reaction. And the shockwave didn't do anything...
Okay. He wasn't catched off guard during the second clash. He een said that he was trying to prevent the shockwaves from happening during that clash. Yet it happened again.
You don't just scream because something pushed you back. The shockwaves did hurt him. Besides, the fact that the shockwave was capable of pushing him back while Beerus' punch didn't is another proof that the shockwaves were superior. And i'm pretty sure that he didn't scream in agony when he...
I disagree. The majority of the people just said that the shockwaves were created bh them so they must be weaker although it was shown that they were stronger.
And it did actually happen...
You're saying that it makes sense yet you haven't even debunked it.
You're ignoring my point. Beerus' punch didn't hurt Goku while the shockwaves did. Therefore, the shockwaves are stronger than Beerus' punch. And Beerus' punch was stronger than Goku's by a tiny bit.
During their first 2 clashes, the shockwaves dealt more damage to Goku than Beerus' actual punch. So the shockwaves must be superior to their attacks ( illogical but we're talking about Dragon Ball Super after all ). And that's just at their starter point. They were getting stronger as they were...
He said that he was trying to, but he only succeed during their third clash ( and the majority of the battle afterwards ). But he failed to nullify them during their first 2 clashes.
Yes. But if the shockwaves hurt Goku more than Beerus' punch then they're obviously superior.
Logically the shockwaves would be FAR weaker than Goku and Beerus but Super's writing is just that bad.
It was never stated that it nullified the power out of them. And if he did, they wouldn't hurt him.
Champa said that after Zeno destroyed universe 9 and said that the feat was insane. I'm gonna find a clip in a minute.
I was talking about the punches from their first 3 clashes. During these clashes, Goku and Beerus didn't hurt each other. The shock waves hurted Goku. So these shockwaves were stronger than Beerus' punch. Which was stronger than Goku's.
Yet Beerus' punch didn't hurt Goku and Goku's punchs didn't hurt Beerus. The shockwaves hurted Goku. So even at their starter point these shockwaves were stronger than their punches.
No. Goku wasn't nullifying them because you could literally see them going through Earth. Goku only nullified the shockwaves from their third clash.
He said that because Zeno destroyed a universe.
It wasn't contradicted. Not just the narrator, but the Kai's and I believe Whis confirmed it as well. Nothing states the shockwaves were stronger than Beerus or Goku. Unless you can give me a source that says such a thing. Poor Writing does not make the feat less legit.
It wasn't stated, yes...
As Elder Kai said, the shockwaves were getting stronger as they were traveling in space. At first they weren't planetary since they couldn't destroy Earth, but then they got stronger. At their starter point, when they couldn't even destroy Earth, they were capable of affecting Goku and Beerus...
@Gargoyle One
1. I failed to understand yor point. What does holding back have to do with the fact that Goku and Beerus got affected by sub-human level shockwaves which couldn't even destroy the Earth while serious ( at least Goku was serious ). It's a fact that the feats in Super are...
@RadicalMrR
Considering the fact that the shockwaves were shown to be superior to Goku and Beerus, then i guess it's possible in Dragon Ball due to the poor writing. And as i already said, the statements from the narrator are just for hype. They're often inaccurate. And they get contradicted...
@Matthew Schroeder
The point is that Goku and Beeres weren't going to destroy the universe with their own power. The shockwaves which were far superior to them were going to do it. And even that got contradicted during their blast clash.
And the Dragon Ball characters can't be above universal...
@RoyGundam Holding back has nothing to do with this.
@Ssrvegitoi I doubt that Beerus is universal. Besides, didn't both Beerus and Champa freak out when Zen'o destroyed Universe 9? Beerus even said something among the lines of "So he really can destroy a universe?" and Champa responded with...
So, let's analysis Goku's feat. We start with Goku and Beerus clashing their fists. Their clashes create bunch of shockwaves. 3 clashes and the shockwaves were going to destroy the universe. That's alright, but the problem is that Goku wasn't going to destroy the universe with his own power. The...
IKR. I didn't expect to see Goku using actual hacks. I love it.
Yes. In the Kanzenshuu which isn't an official source. It's a reliable source, but not an official one. And i don't think you can take that seriously since the manga cannot be an adaptation of the anime since it came out first...
I have to disagree. The manga isn't secondary. The anime is. Toriyama is still the author of the manga. He only doesn't draw it because he's too old. And Toyotaro said that he sends every single page to Toriyama, and if Toriyama doesn't like something, he tells Toyotaro to change it and how...
The manga is still canon, so i don't think it would make much of a difference if it happened in the anime. In fact, the anime would probably f#%k this epic scene up since Toei can't do anything properly.
1: It was never stated that the DB universe was only 4 galaxies big. The terms 'South, North, West and Western Galaxies' stand for quadrants, not literal galaxies.
I believe that there was a statement in the Daizenshuu 7, which confirms that there are more than 4 galaxies.

As we saw, Gohan was actually holding his own against SSJB Goku and even tank a few hits of his. H even managed to knock him back. Until Goku stacked the Kaioken ( possibly more than just regular Kaioken ), Gohan was doing well against him. And even in the newest episode, it was stated that...
