I'm fine with using the latter scans, its just that at least some of the feats he performed in the theta state against Dominus were clearly only because of abusing Dominus reality warping power. Since it clearly had far less of an effect on reality the second time.
Using the theta state's showings from the Dominus arc as evidence of mind manipulation is incredibly incorrect imo. It's very clearly stated by Luthor this is not a new ability from superman, it's the specific way Dominus and superman interacted with each other's minds and powers. So it's not...
Bursting shell likely just means a bullet shell. Which he already has feats of surviving completely unscathed in action comic #1. Also I'd say it's better to use feats than narrator statements, since if we used those without caring for what happens in the actual feat early golden age superman...
Here's all the noteworthy feats from 30s superman I'm aware of.
Faster than a streamline trai, auto or aircraft
Broke open a metal door.
Tanked bullets.
Lifts a car and smashes it.
Held up an entire metal bridge and a train.
knocked off the top of a mountain.
Destroyed a circus cart...
Well there is one example of superman traveling halfway across the universe, though he had to use the energy of the eradicator to do it. Then again it wasn't like he had much choice since he barely had any solar energy in his body anymore.
Yeah, it's not really a resistance and more him not instantly dying when it hits him, but it still definitely burns him.
Another example would be in day of Judgement, where he couldn't dive into the hellfire and needed the protection of a green lantern ring.
Actually he wasn't getting cut into piece at all. It's a scan right in between the ones everyone usually shows. This mirror matter planet had swarms of mini tesseracts around it that were folding space, and superman was caught in the middle of these Tesseract storms trying to deal with the...
You're kind of taking that statement out of context. Madame Xanadu is referring to how Jim's not willing to use the spectre's powers to their full capabilities. It's not that he isn't Able to use Spectre the same way say Hal Jordan would use his power, but that he's not willing. Like the example...
What are you talking about? In that story arc we literally see the future when the philosopher stone got destroyed, and it's just ruled by darkseid. Not even earth got destroyed when that happened.
@Firestorm808
Here's nearly all the scans citations. Don't really have time to check through them myself ATM, but hopefully it's helpful either way.

Well there's him taking on Doomsday along with post crisis superma in infinite crisis issue 7
And also during Convergence Action comics issue 2, he is hits Communist Wonder Woman so hard she starts to bleed who took blows from Powergirl.
Also here's some Golden age feats for Kal-L.
Caught up...
Alright, so we are clearly looking for consistency in terms of how the two are portrayed relative to each other. Thankfully this shouldn't be too hard given the few amount of appearances Kal-L has during the silver and Bronze Age.
First of all there's the Stalemate, which has already been...
