At worst, they could be given some scaling off of creating storms.
Phase-to-phase can work honestly. Marika was aware of the Rot yet even that didn't spook her as much as Messmer's serpent did. I did hear that Miyazaki called him an Empyrean in an interview but don't take my word for it at all...
Yeah, this is exactly what happens. Dunno how anything else could be inferred.
In any case, I personally think Malenia downscales but not really by anything meaningful. The gap itself is pretty small if it exists.
I'm alright with most of your response there but the Striking Strength discussion is something I'll leave to you two. Also, I don't really mind 1-A being labelled Transcendent but I won't go to bat for it. It's really whatever to me. I do hold the opinion that we shouldn't nitpick specific...
Gloam Eyed Queen is so weird cause what do you mean there was an Empyrean with a cult of god killers, who once held Destined Death, and we don't know their names or what they looked like at all. I could buy her being exiled to the Land of Shadows even so the fact we never fight her is weird.
To me at least, it seems clear that the term "star" isn't a one-size fits all and can mean both regular stars or meteors/cosmic creatures depending on use. In the context of Radhan's feat, the "constellations" being anything else would take proof of such a thing rather than otherwise, since it...
Greater Will and Frenzy Flame have always been equal opposites in my eyes. One created all separated beings and the other can return all of them to one. So I'm not quite sure of it being above time when the other isn't.
Also, how do we treat the Land of Shadows? It seems to be a separate...
Speaking of Placidusax, do you think the use of Miquella's needle implies that the Outer Gods are restricted to this timeline? Since even the Frenzy Flame can be countered outside of time.
The more I think about our old Infinite speed standards the funnier they were. If they were still around Tarnished, Placidusax and most top tiers would be Infinite speed.
Glass does bring up good points there. Of course, comparatively blatant anti-feats or counters should be considered but by that base logic of the power, manipulating the standard causality that a character doesn't exist under shouldn't affect them.
At most, I'd suggest just being a bit more...
By the way, how do we treat non-stated boss resistances? Like, the final DLC boss can be hit by Messmer's flame no problem of course. Is that game mech or soul resistance for them?
I mean, yeah. Gojo's Infinity might stop that but let's face it, if that's the last obstacle then you've basically soloed the verse.
Also, do we count harming Spirit Summons as Soul Manipulation (specifically Destruction) or nah.
So far that's;
Soul Manipulation
Fire Manipulation
Shapeshifting
Weapon Creation
Animal Manipulation
Teleportation(?)
At the very least, his fire innately having that property would make him dangerous.
I saw an item description that implies Messmer's flame has soul destruction, which is pretty interesting.
Edit: Yeah, the Hefty Furnace Pot, made with an ember of Messmer.
Craftable item prepared using a capacious cracked pot. Imbued with a hex of the furnace. Throw at an enemy to create a...
I don't mind removing relative descriptions like, "X is a very powerful/weak verse" from the section. The section itself is fine aside from that and I'd prefer we just have some ground rules for what is to be explained there (current tiers, some common abilities etc.).
I'm fine with the Scaling...
