The reason the leviathan calc was removed was because its ap ke values are now deemed insufficient when a thread mod decided to place their opinion on it saying that it should have more destructive values. Lifting strength from the calc is fine due to the sheer size of the thing.

Banelings are acid based units so it's pretty reasonable to assume they do vaporize people. A single drop from them blew up an entire room and sent a marine suited person flying. The suit was extremely damaged plus tore off chunks of the suit and also melted together entire parts of the suit. Now imagine an entire baneling for that which is uncontably larger. The game mechanics aren't entirely unusable. Colossus for example, definitely vaporizes marines as it also does that in the lore lol. Basically there's a decent case for tier 8 SC for the lower tiers in StarCraft. Given basic units like Stalkers and Dragoons just disintegrate you on the atomic level by nature of their weapons. The templar are shocked before their very eyes in SC1 when the cerabrates regenerated from even the Dragoon's antimatter firepower. The 3 8-B calcs I know right now and their values are, Nydus Worm - 37 tons (deemed easily killable to even marines both ingame and by the manual), Inferior Terran replication of Phase Disruptor tech - 16 tons and 52 tons for the Baneling. The franchise is essentially built a broken inconsistent mess so I wouldn't worry about things that much lol.

This baneling argument is extremely flawed. One drop causes a lot of destruction, therefore an entire baneling can vaporize a marine? That's not logical at all.

Could you give me sources for colossus vaporizing the entirety of marines? Or which troops can survive phase disruptor shots in lore? Or Nydus Worms being able to be killed by Marines? Although even if Nydus Worms can be killed by them, how would they even scale considering the fact that Marines would likely just use weak spots?

Yes. It is completely logical, they have destroyed and vaporized entire structures and vehicles much larger than them like Siege Tanks, Bunkers and Stalkers in an instant. That's quite the low-ball you're arguing for a unit who's whole purpose is to obliterate everything in its path. A single drop is already proof enough of its sheer potency of its explosive power. Even a clutch of them is enough to vaporize a group of vehicles and infantry at once. Terrans literally invented an anti acid spray for their vehicles to try and minimize the corrosive effects of Banelings after getting hit.

And plus a group of Colossus back then incinerated an entire early civilization back then in the Colossus short story. The Conclave banned their usage as they were deemed too dangerous after the genocide they've committed because of their firepower. A nice short description from the sc wiki describes the Colossus pretty well. They fire superheated plasma that incinerates Marines in an instant.

StarCraft is a goofy inconsistent series so things go either way half the time. Battlecruisers could be stomping other battlecruisers but die to a couple mutalisks or hydralisks who in normal circumstances shouldn't scale to them. Siege Tanks could be struggling to damage Ultralisks but then hammer down on Battlecruisers or hybrids easily. Yes these kinds of scenarios a nice amount of times.

Protoss durability negation powers either work or don't work. A siege tank and roach can survive stalker and dragoon hits for example. Even though they've annihilated things like Goliaths before who are also stated to be able to gun down siege tanks. A Nydus Worm has no weakspots. They're deemed easy to kill because of being big targets and having no defensive capabilities when they surface so Marines can scale to them as they pierce through its armor. There are no weakspots in them.
