What energy will it contain?

The energy generated by the atoms and subatomic particles, but there is Dark Energy as noted by NASA.

Right but the presence of dark energy isn't a basic function of empty space.

It technically still a part of empty space even if it basically serves no function for the empty space.

However, I will note that we don’t know much about Dark Energy. Just it does exist it seems IIRC

It's not a part of empty space, it's inside empty space the same way regular matter/energy is. We assume dark matter is pretty much everywhere, but empty itself does not intrinsically contain dark matter or dark energy. Thats the distinction I am making, it isn't an inherent part of spacetime. If someone creates an empty universe in fiction we shouldn't just assume it has dark matter or dark energy.

That is why I say a part of Empty Space since being inside empty space is qualified by the definition of “part” as there is no way to necessarily exclude it nor find a way to invalidate its existence for that matter.
