I couldn't figure out how to calculate it either, the KE of the train wasn't really stopped or affected that much, it was only after the derailment that it stopped.

So I would just measure the KE caused by the push of the robot, using the movement of that guy to measure how much it was actually moved, and also using only the compartment that was affected and not the whole train.
