All the comics are canon, it's currently pretty late for me so sorry if I don't immediately reply lol. But anyways, virtually all eu materials are canon to SC including things like skins. Some of the stuff like that Marine description is still canon but the source is unfortunately lost because Blizzard axed the old SC2 website. Despite this they're still used in later works such as Nova Covert Ops like when we had a bonus objective of defending a science facility from the Tal'Darim that housed scientists trying to replicate Stetmann's old forcefield project he cancelled after becoming a whistle blower. Swann's backstory is also from the old SC2 website character and unit pages which gets mentioned in the Meinhoff infested mission during WoL. The Field Manual is canon yeah too.

Here's the SC wiki's head mod Subsourian own method of verifying canon. He has personally interviewed the SC writing and lore team multiple times during Blizzcons so he's pretty good. Plus almost everything in SC wiki is sourced too.

In the cases of contradiction, games will usually have the highest weight, though not always the case (IE Artanis being the executor during Episode III, Duke being a "general for 15 years"). In cases of non-game sources contradicting one another, usually the latest material is given weight, except in cases of smaller errors.

The final word on all canon is Blizzard, and thus statements made by them are the final deciding factor."
