I still don't do the calc in a blog. But it is based on the fact that Daenerys travels beyond the Wall when it is daytime there, and in places like that during the winter there is very little daylight; added to the fact that after the battle Jon Snow arrives at the Wall on horse, taking 2 hours and 43 minutes to get there (I calculated that), and it is still daytime there.
All of that would give the dragons at most one hour to go from Dragonstone to beyond the Wall, but if the calc is accepted it would be the lowball (Supersonic+ and 8-A)
I think it mainly comes down to the timeframe you are assuming it took. You can make a blog taking three reasonable timeframes, low end, mid end and high end. And then get it evaluated.
I think the most reasonable timeframe as a lowball would be to use one hour. For various reasons: when Jon Snow and his group wake up after spending the night, it is already fully day; after that there is a cut to the next scene where Daenerys flies out of Dragonstone; then there is another cut to a different scene, after that another cut to the scene where Jon Snow and his group fight against the Wights and at the end Daenerys arrives with her dragons; Jon Snow's journey on horse from the site of the battle to the Wall, where it is still daylight, which took 2 hours and 43 minutes; and the fact that in places like that during the winter the daylight is very low
Hmm. To be honest, the result really seems outlier-y. We never ever see Drogon or any dragon fly so fast in any other scenario, except for this off-screen encounter. Are you sure there is no possibility of the timeframe being much higher, so that maybe it won't look so outlierish?
Drogon on some occasions flew thousands of kilometers in hours. When he flew from Meereen to the Dothraki Sea after rescuing Daenerys or when he flew from High Garden to Dragonstone after Spoils of War. Using 2 hours of timeframe I get Supersonic speed and a KE of 8-B
Well, we see Daenerys take off on the dragons when it was daylight, and she reaches beyond the wall while it is still day. We can easily assume a timeframe of 6 hours or more, no?
I think 6 hours is a lot considering that Daenerys left Dragonstone when it was daylight at the Wall, plus the cuts and the 2 hours and 43 minutes it took Jon Snow to arrive to the Wall and it was still daylight. 3 hours of timeframe sounds good?
The calc was accepted but we have to decide which is the most reasonable end. I personally think that the Mid-End (3 hours) is the most correct for the reasons I gave before, but which do you think is the best?
I would also appreciate your input on this other GoT CRT
I'm making a profile of the Scorpions (the ballistas that kill dragons) and they would have the same AP as the durability of the dragons like Drogon. But the first model was able to pierce Balerion's skull, would that change anything?
I also made a sandbox of a Game of Thrones verse page, since there are only two profiles of the books. What do you think?
