So just wondering, are you still in agreement with what was proposed in the thread? Cause only one other staff member agreed afterwards and since the thread hasn't been getting any input, I was hoping with two staff agreeing it could be applied since its a small revision.
My opinion hasn't really changed. If accessing Maiden Powers makes a character's overall abilities stronger instead of just the Maiden Power abilities being stronger than the other abilities, then it counts as a boost of their statistics. My only concern is that being generalized. Being able to access the same power doesn't necessarily mean that everyone is going to be able to use it proficiently. Amber, Cinder and Winter's profiles have powers in their Maiden Powers tabs that aren't included on other profiles with a Maiden Powers tab, so I'm not sure if the generalization of the abilities is even supposed to be the norm here.
Normally you’d be right, but the reason why I believe it should be generalized is because it was presented in the show that all Maidens possess the same powers. The only reason why some Maiden users have abilities that others do not is simply by how they chose to use it. For example Winter with reflecting an attack and Cinder with Weapon Control.
But with Statistics, it is clear that in Maiden fights that it amps them in the exact same way as Aura amps a user, which is why every Aura user has Statistics on their page. And since ultimately a Maidens power is magic that came from Oz, it shows that Statistics is a thing that is inherent to magic users. Hope that makes it clear.
Could you provide some scans or links for that? It would be nice to see a statement or scene that shows that Maidens have all the same powers and that Magic in general amplifies statistics like Aura.
Here is Cinder and Amber bothusing fire. Fria and Penny bothusing ice. And Cinder, Raven, and Penny allcreatingweapons. These all show that they share the same powers. As for magic amping, here is a scene of them clashing. Not only that, but Maidens can use their powers even if their Aura is broken. So the fact that Raven can still move like this in her fight with Cinder even though her Aura was broken proves that magic can amp a user the same as Aura.
