Should I wait for your version of the calculation for CRT?

ByAsura
When are you planning the CRT?

Sorry I've been taking up your time. I have a few other things on the wiki, and some IRL work stuff.

Not yet soon. I am doing some revisions in the Kenganverse, plus I am learning in parallel. So it will be better to wait for you.
Plus, I would be interested in your position on the regeneration of the Mid-high level, which is based on the fact that Mercer recovered from the ashes after a nuclear explosion, although in fact a small piece of his biomass was simply thrown ashore. Plus, users believe that characters can regenerate indefinitely, although both endings of the games contradict this.

I think that is kind of likely.

Another thing they argued (and was accepted) is that Mercer can somehow regenerate from a single virion because an individual virion of the Blacklight virus can infect someone. I really don't get this logic. Being able to infect something doesn't mean Mercer could restore himself completely. And, yes, Mercer is the Blacklight virus and can control it, but that doesn't mean a single virion could replicate to become like him. If that's how it worked, he would have just survived and regenerated in Prototype 2.

Someone argued that they can regenerate, but it's slower without biomass. They made some counterarguments that I can't exactly remember, but I seriously don't know how you can argue past Mercer being unable to regenerate after overtaxing himself against Heller.

That whole thread was full of this kind of wank.

However, I think Greene and Mercer should scale to the Supreme Hunter, who only regenerated from a puddle after Mercer stepped in it and seemingly left some biomass.

The Supreme Hunter dies after being mangled by Mercer's attacks because he has run out of biomass.
The Supreme Hunter would have remained lying in the form of a puddle of biomass for the first time if Mercer hadn't accidentally stepped on him.
It is funny to me to see how the supporters of the verse write that Mercer can regenerate the complete destruction of the body with lightning speed and constantly and that he needs to be killed a thousand times so that regen weakens a little, while with the loss of his hands in the second part he can no longer regenerate.

From what has been shown, we see that the remains of the virus can support life, but they cannot regenerate themselves until an external source of biomass appears. Infinite regeneration is just an assumption based on the arguments "we do not know why the Supreme Hunter died" and "Mercer was without hands for only 20 seconds and did not have time to recover," although in fact he was on his knees, being exhausted and it was clear that this was his end.

He only absorbed Robert Cross, so I think that makes sense.

True. He may have absorbed a thousand people, but he's also been severely injured a thousand times.

On that part, I'm not really sure. Maybe he would have regenerated in a few days or so. The fact is, we really aren't told this kind of stuff in game, so these kinds of statements (the ones in quotes, not your's) require far more assumptions than the alternative.
NikHelton
NikHelton
That's exactly what I'm talking about. Usually, this wiki is not abused with the exhibition of some abilities without proof, but when it comes to Mercer, assumptions also work.

Will we return to this topic before December, or would it be better to wait until you are free? Just starting the thread yourself would be suicide, given how the supporters of the verse jerk off to the characters

It's up to you when you want to start. I can do the calculation today.

Although there's definitely some bias, I wouldn't go that far.

Didn't quite understand the second part of your message.

In this case, discard the link to the calculation when it is ready.

I wouldn't go so far as to say "Just starting the thread yourself would be suicide, given how the supporters of the verse jerk off to the characters."

When I last participated in the thread with them, they threw the same argument twice, which does not make sense, they exaggerated Mercer's position as much as possible and said that he could absorb armor, which opposes the destruction of reality and matter

I already encountered this phenomenon when I made the first revision of Kengan. But then it was not even a lack of evidence, but a lack of common sense. There, the density of the dust cloud exceeded 1 ton per cubic meter, and the shock wave spread over a kilometer. In general, pure sur.
But the participants simply did not want to accept it, someone did not even hide the bias ("No, I will not say why I disagree with your judgment," for example). And this continued until another experienced participant sided with the revision.

Stuff on the calc is kind of slow-coming.

I spent a few months trying to find out some other stuff about New York for a different calc, so it's giving me the whole 'you can repeat the search with the omitted results included' thing.
