Champion of Midgard: The Thor Odinson MegaCRT

I've been just viewing this thread for the past several days but I actually have a question regarding the scaling of one character.

Where would Old King Thor scale? Would he scale to Complete All-Father Thor? Or would he just scale to Worthy Thor?

Definitely Complete All-Father imo

I'm of mixed opinions about this. Old King Thor from that alternate future seems to be FAR weaker than 616 King Thor, as he struggled against Black Berserkers, Gorr, Old Man Phoenix, and a hungry Galactus. Even Incomplete All-Father Thor from 616 did much better against an amplified Galactus and was stated by the Celestial Supercomputer to be capable of killing the Universal Phoenix Force. The timelines are meant to be very similar, but OKT hasn't shown anywhere near the level of power that 616 All-Father Thor has.

He is missing an arm, an eye, and generally seems a bit physically hampered so it isn't unreasonable to believe he's below what he should be with the Odinforce too.

I think so, yes.

Which staff members have commented in this thread earlier? 🙏

I did some renders ^^

The scalings are still kind of wonky, Gaea feat upscaling Thor, despite as I recall, her vs Chaos King left her unconscious, Utgard-Loki scaling probably not translating to stats in any way, and Zeus scaling above Nyx in DCR is wild too.

Still, on mobile I can spare only a passing glance. But I would look into justifications.

Gaea empowered Hercules to the point that he was able to hold his own against the Chaos King for a prolonged period of time. 🙏
Iirc that was even a weakened Gaea. I'm pretty happy with Utgard-Loki scaling as he was able to "create or otherwise affect" a realm in the Mystery that transcended all realms and existed above truth itself, existing only in metaphor, as well as all the Utgard Gods having similar statements of transcendence above Aesir as TWSAIS. As for Zeus vs Nyx, the scaling is pretty clearly laid out in the story (and Zeus didn't scale to Nyx once she fully embraced the DCR. Loki and WoG referred to Zeus as a greater danger than amped Nyx before Hercules talked to her about the DCR's potential).

I don't know if anyone have address this yet but I believe Thor's feat of stunning Chaos Hercules is a valid feat. Since Hercules subconsciously shrunk as oppose to just continuing his retaliation with the other Skyfathers. Additionally, the whole Thor sneak attack him also doesn't make sense at all, Herc was going all out and was on guard in doing so. He was being fired from multiple directions too so I hope this feat gets mentioned in Thor's page.

The initial lightning blast should've also definitely clued Herc in, literally having time in between to speak. I don't think you could really argue Thor sneaked him off-guard

I don't any feat of stunning should ever be grounds for scaling. In Marvel they are barely even treated as feats. Like characters as weak as Captain America or Spider-Man have sometimes briefly staggered the Hulk or Thor.

I think you're missing the point. The feat isn't impressive because of Hercules' reaction by itself. It's impressive because of how Thor's attack performed compared to the combined efforts of every other Skyfather. Thor's attack forced Herc to subconsciously shrink himself, whereas the collective attacks of all the Skyfathers couldn't even slow him down. That's the real comparison being made.

Think of it this way. Making Juggernaut scream in pain by itself doesn't necessarily tell you how much damage was dealt, since pain tolerance varies. But if Juggernaut had just casually shrugged off an attack that was objectively powerful, then seeing him scream from another attack suddenly becomes incredibly significant. The reaction gains meaning because of the context established beforehand.

Simply put, it is not a matter of affecting Hercules but moreso just upscaling the Skyfather's attack automatically due to how Herc reacted to it.
