Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

Do we KNOW it was Sonic who destroyed the chains trapping Little Planet?
I should hopefully be able to answer my own question
So you know the red flashes that occur at the Eggman face? In the ending animation, similar red flashes occur when Sonic himself destroys a badnik in the ending animation. So this would at the very least prove he broke whatever was holding the chains or at least make the chains shake super violently, which would still scale him I believe. It also makes the most sense with where Sonic would be, as he started at the mouth (where the chains were connected) and launched himself out of the mountain when the top of it exploded, landing alongside the chains. It also fits with how Sonic is portrayed in the game, such as where he spindashes through a large falling rock in the intro. Plus it also shows Eggman is capable of making chains such as those without outside help, which would support his later inventions being as strong as they are

As a minor point, Sonic breaking the chains himself is also really good symbolically. Sonic is the embodiment of freedom, blowing free and chaotically with a strong love for nature. Little Planet was being industrialized, chained down by the whims of Eggman to face pollution and mechanization. Sonic figuratively and quite literally breaks those chains himself and allows Little Planet its freedom. Of course, it isn't anything groundbreaking. You don't have to be Shakespeare to write "character that represents freedom frees thing from not being free!" but it's just nice, you know?

Which scene?
When Sonic is running in New Yoke’s battery chamber (he had a small amount of prism energy at that point) he runs fast enough to make a shockwave which covers the entire new yoke city, but then in the season 2 premiere they expand on it to show the shockwave actually reached outside the new yoke shatterspace and all the way to the ghost hill one. Shadow fights Sonic with the prism energy amp and keeps up with him.

Bare minimum it would have to reach across half of one shatterspace, gets low quadrillions c assuming each space is 1/6 universal, and double digit quadrillions assuming each space is its own universe. It is just attack speed but, it was created purely because of Sonic running, so I think it might be fine to scale it to his normal speed.

If you could change (or add) smth to the wiki, what would it be?

I would probably add a section on the FAQ page regarding what "significantly affecting a structure" actually mean (with a decent number of examples). I think having this concept relegated to a simple "footnote" on the Tiering System page tend to push some people to just ignore feats that aren't about direct creation and/or destruction.

I hate to say it but I heard EXE has high godly regen…

He might, win…

EXE is getting ****** up by Metal because it's literally the worst possible matchup you could ever make him participate in. Ah yes, make the Demon who feeds on fear and suffering fight the fearless rage machine that is Metal Sonic, especially when he sees a loathsome copy of his own loathsome copy trying to steal his thunder.

Plus he is souless

I think the most likely is that they decreased the price so they could sell the DE Update as the difference. So new buyers will have to spend more. Bad luck to who already had it sadly.

has anyone else watched this? Its insanely impressive!

If I had a nickel for everytime I saw a sonic vs star fox animation on youtube, specifically involving a chaos emerald being an object fox is looking for. I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but weird it happened twice.

Don't like how they treated Tails tbh. He's slept on way too much.

Purely out of curiosity, I went through Sonic's profile a little bit and... Holy schist! Our hedgehog has like over one hundred notable moves/techniques (with most variations considered).

EDIT: I fear that if we added the Equipment (both Standard and Optional), we would probably come close to 200.
Decided to do the same thing for more characters (no Equipment or outside help).

Surprisingly, this is the Top 10:

Sonic —> 122

Knuckles —> 51

Shadow —> 48

Amy —> 46

Silver —> 18

Tails —> 14

Espio —> 8

Blaze —> 7

Rouge —> 6

Cream —> 6

The huge gap between Sonic and the others was kind of unexpected.

EDIT: Alright, Amy is quite the monster.

Unsurprising gap Skills from the Storybook Games/Generations.

Sonic's the main character/has the most appearances, the rest of the cast getting neglected for a good chunk of the modern era & his page(s) having the most revisions, ecc...

Random thought; I was looking at Night Palace and Erazor's control over it (specifically the Spiritual World to see if he was controlling that as well) and I noticed the World Ring of sadness is located within the Spiritual World. Earlier on Shahra states that the World Rings rule seven worlds within the Arabian Nights world. So I think it's possible the World Ring of Sadness can rule over the spiritual world, likewise, the World Ring of Rage may also rule over the world's Jahannam since that's where the Ifrit Golem comes from and was located inside of him. Perhaps not all that relevant but more support for Alf Layla Wa Layla destroying all of that I suppose

It's also funny because "I rule the spiritual world!" "I rule hell!" "I, uh, rule dinosaurs."
