It's hard to do that because we can't scale him to anyone. He's above the two idiots, but we don't know how he fares against Jan. We do know he's below Luke.Should I make a profile for that vampire priest we saw in chapter 1
He's above both Luke and Jan because he's a true vampire and true vampires are stronger than artificial onesIt's hard to do that because we can't scale him to anyone. He's above the two idiots, but we don't know how he fares against Jan. We do know he's below Luke.
Alucard was impressed enough by Luke's physical abilities that he believed his claims to be Alucard's equal and said that he was above even the strongest vampires. So Luke would have been physically stronger than pretty much any vampire Alucard has faced. He's above both Luke and Jan because he's a true vampire and true vampires are stronger than artificial ones
Alucard was wrong and disgusted by Luke when he found out that he can’t do anything like regrow his legs, transform, and summon familiars etc. The only thing impressive about Luke was his speed.Alucard was impressed enough by Luke's physical abilities that he believed his claims to be Alucard's equal and said that he was above even the strongest vampires. More so than anything else Alucard faced.Alucard was wrong and disgusted by Luke when he found out that he can’t do anything like regrow his legs, transform, and summon familiars etc. The only thing impressive about Luke was his speed.
But remember the priest said, "Guns could never do a thing to a vampire"? The guns Alucard used was explicitly made to hunt down vampires like that. That hand strike turned the priest into paste and if Alucard did that to Luke he would not have survived either. Also Luke was given super speed as his special ability but the priest was already naturally faster than gunfireWe also can't say artificial vampires are all weaker when the priest died to a pistol shot and hand strike, while Luke took multiple pistol shots and Tubalcain took that and more.
Luke was taking shots and continuing, the priest dropped from one shot like a bag of potatoes. Both shared the vampiric weakness to blessed silver, so that isn't it. Alucard also directly said he hasn't had as much fun in ages as he's having with Luke, and bluntly said Luke was already shown to be above a category A vampire. Combine those two statements together and it's obvious his physical abilities alone place him above other vampires. But remember the priest said, "Guns could never do a thing to a vampire"? And again, to universally apply the rule that artificial vampires are weaker you'd also need to place Tubalcain below the priest.
When discussing natural vampires, we're talking about people who've inherited a version of Alucard's original powers that has been repeatedly watered down as it was passed from one vampire to another repeatedly over the course of centuries, with most if not all of those vampires being without any of the willpower or extra abilities that have made Alucard such a monster. The artificial vampires are technically closer to the original since they're based on Mina, someone Alucard himself bit. Seras clearly isn't a good example, since she gained enormous power clearly far above the priest.
It is weird given he references transformation when no other vampires ever shows that ability, but the ability to tear apart humans like rags is supported by Pip's comment on them too. He's basing that on what Hellsing knows about vampires. It can't be unique to Alucard level vampires since he's referring to the Millennium vampires, but it also isn't unique to artificial vampires since he'd have no way to know all of that based on the limited exposure they'd had to such beings up to that point.Alright
Can't we just scale the priest to this statement?
I'm currently running one that's kind of an initiation.I checked my 8-Bs for matches...

Do you think the priest should at least be comparable to incomplete vampire serasIt is weird given he references transformation when no other vampires ever shows that ability, but the ability to tear apart humans like rags is supported by Pip's comment on them too. It's hard to say for sure since she takes down lots of Millennium vampires and she's a direct descendant of Alucard.Do you think the priest should at least be comparable to incomplete vampire seras
Would it be okay for the priest to have these abilities? (This would not apply to artificial vampires)It's hard to say for sure since she takes down lots of Millennium vampires and she's a direct descendant of Alucard.
Her skull crushing feats are performed earlier than that, and remember Jan was comparable to her early on. I think Seras was stronger during Zorin's attack on the mansion than she was when the Valentine brothers' attack. The feats she's measured by are from earlier though, and they line up with what's said about vampires.
Honestly though, the priest can just be measured based on that scan and scale to Seras crushing a skull.
I'll take a look.Would it be okay for the priest to have these abilities? (This would not apply to artificial vampires)
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
This might be an ability only Alucard and artificial vampires have. That's why I didn't add it to Seras' profile.
Yes.
Best to scale him to base Seras' regeneration. We just don't have enough to go on for him otherwise.
Not sure about this. Even Seras doesn't have it.
Yes.
We don't see proof of this, so I'd say no.
I'm not sure about this either.
Should be fine.
Sure
Sure.
We see the priest not have this kind of ability, and I'm not sure he has all their knowledge either, since he didn't seem to have absorbed knowledge of Seras from her fellow officers.
We see nothing of this from him. And again, Seras wasn't given it either.
I think blood enhancing the strength of vampires including the priest is quite evidentWe don't see proof of this, so I'd say no.
dont see why the priest wouldn't get stronger from drinking bloodAfter some talking about it we've reached a conclusion that the verse should work on a Universal energy system that's based on blood. Blood in Hellsing is the source of life and contains the mind, body, soul, and entire existence of an individual. Vampires use this as a power source by absorbing more blood. For example, drinking blood made Alucard go from a dying corpse to a killing machine, restoring his strength. When Seras drank blood, her raw power, speed and overall capabilities increased massively than before. The more lives that a vampire consumes, the stronger that they will become (Lives = Blood) and Alucard is often stated to be the strongest vampire mainly because he has consumed such a large number of lives and increased his soul stock. However, refusing to drink blood will weaken yours powers hence why Seras must sleep in a coffin.
HELLSING official guide book p. 007. "ヘルシング家に仕える吸血鬼となってから、彼の能力は拘束制御 術式ヘ《クロムウェル》によって数段階に制限されている。" (Rough Translation: Since becoming a vampire in the service of the Hellsing family, his abilities have been limited to a few Levels by Cromwell's Control Art Restriction System.)

A) He can't transform into that form until he releases the restrictions.by the way wouldn't this statement prove that its actually levels that determine Alucard's strength and not if he's wearing a straitjacket?
If something has no official name, and there's a popular fan made one, we use that.i see
its just 'straitjacket form' is a term that was never referenced in the series so i wasn't really sure if we could call it that
It's explicitly a straitjacket. We could call it his shadow form, but he doesn't always have a shadow composition. The common theme is the black straitjacket.i see

Do you think the priest would have some resistance to Zorin's third eye? I remember Seras in her incomplete stage was able to resist it until Zorin further enhanced the abilityIt's explicitly a straitjacket. Maybe. It's annoyingly vague. We honestly might not have enough material to work with for him.Do you think the priest would have some resistance to Zorin's third eye? I remember Seras in her incomplete stage was able to resist it until Zorin further enhanced the ability
I think for the abilities that you were unsure about, we can just list it as 'possibly' ratingsMaybe. It's annoyingly vague. We honestly might not have enough material to work with for him.
HELLSING are also extremely similar to Bram Stoker’s creation: they are monsters with immortal bodies and superhuman strength far surpassing that of humans. They abhor sunlight, cannot cross flowing water, and their reflections do not appear in mirrors. Furthermore, if a virgin—whether male or female—is bitten by one of them, they transform into a Draculina (female vampire) or Dracul (male vampire) with free will; however, if the victim is not a virgin, they become a ghoul—a servant who obeys the commands of the vampire that bit them—and wander in search of human flesh, driven by instinct. The artificial vampires developed by the “Last Battalion” possess nearly all the characteristics of these vampires, but in terms of ability, they do not seem to match those of genuine vampires.
