I was initially neutral because here I felt like immutable was referring to their emotional state (since that is the earlier context of the character being embarrassed about their cloths and acquiring human-like qualities), but re-reading it, I suppose this and this should be enough even without accounting for the first scan.

Those passages are talking about becoming. With the additional context stating that a god's existence itself is immutable and bound to its nature of existence, it's essentially saying that a god can only be what it is and never anything else in its changeless existence. So, in that context, things like acquiring human-like qualities and growth are clearly forms of becoming, since they involve changing into or developing into something new, which a god in its conceptual form is incapable of.

Also interpretation that "immutable" refers only to a god's emotions is debunk by the scan explicitly describing gods as immutable existences, indicating that the term applies to their existence itself rather than just their emotional state. Furthermore, Gods do not possess emotions in their conceptual forms, then interpreting "immutable" as referring only to emotions would not fit as well. It would also imply that the gods are something more than the pure concepts they are stated to be, which contradicts the description of them as nothing more than the concepts themselves.
