I'm starting a little quest to see if what is possibly the worst 10-A can score himself a win. So we're starting with the hedgehog's rival who can only ball

*Speed is equal

*Both start 5 meter apart

Sonic scales to baseline 10-A (106 Joules) and 35 kilograms

Mario scales to baseline 10-A (106 Joules) and baseline Athletic Human (120 kilograms)

Mario should just generally be tougher (scaling above irl athletes) and has a massive LS advantage that should just let him strangle him fairly easily. Voting mario

Sonic should posses a considerable skill advantage however, he actually killed someone numerous times and is implied to have a longstanding rivalry with Eggman + while his Shovel is rather small it's still a decent range option against someone with no prior combat experience and no way to close a gap besides just tanking the attacks

Sonic’s shovel could be useful, but you kind of have to be pretty agile in order to be good at basketball, so Mario should be capable of dodging at least some of Sonic’s hits should he try going for the shovel. Plus you have to be able take the ball from other players in basketball and Mario is a lot stronger than Sonic, so I don’t think it’s far fetched to say Mario could eventually disarm Sonic, at which point he could just pull an Invincible and choke the hedgehog to death.

(And as for the shovel, Sonic’s never seen using in an offensive fashion, so I didn’t think it would really be notable enough to warrant a separate rating on the profile)
