Guys, denji has 1.14 the ap advantage, the difference is not too big.

Ls, yeah fair, but i don't think there will be much grappling tbh.

The sawrunner can still be quiete tricky to fight because:

  1. Can still cut denji in half as he does with people with that ap.
  2. He doesn't budge to any attack (i suppose that something noteworthy).
  3. He can come back to life at least 4/5 times, so denji will provably have multiple rounds against him.
  4. denji can't really take distance due of sawrunner being subsonic
Denji will at least have 5 rounds against someone who can cut him in half or at least injure him badly (Denji could regenerate but there's a limit to it) and doesn't budge against his attacks.

I suppose they each have as advantage:

The Sawrunner has the fact that he's likely do do extreme damage to denji more than denji to him due of the fact that he can cut him up more easly, we also have the fact that denji will have to fight him at least other 4/5 times due of resurrection.

Denji is realistically the better fighter, altho i don't really remember how smart he is in combat (denji has basically the same iq of the average shonen protagonist... not much, so i canmot really say if he's a genius in combat), denji does also have low-high regen as he can stick himself back togheter (altho he has limitation with his regen baased on how much blood he consumes).

If you want my personal opinion, Denji's survivability is totally dependent on how much blood he can take off him, mind you this is only human denji, chainsaw man is restricted.

Sawrunner is a man of focus, literally, he doesn't give a deam about anything but killing it's target.

Also this is a casual encounter so Denji doesn't know about his resurrection thing and denji will prolly react like this when he sees him getting back up

Nah, Denji outskills and outsmarts him quite easily.

There isn't much about him, he's a simple man with a simple approach: he will charge at you not flinching to anything you trow at him and will try to slice you in half, tho he should be comparable to Simon who can kill 2 police officers while being in a wheelcair.

Denji has to objectly fight someone who doesn't flinch to attacks and still has a chainsaw that can cut his limbs off or him in half (as seen with weaker bosses) for 5 times.
 
I believe Denji can handle the Sawrunner. He's physically much stronger and generally more skilled than the Sawrunner. Obviously, the biggest drawback is speed, but he should be resourceful enough to overcome that and still manage to kill the Sawrunner about five times. Furthermore, Denji has better stamina; even if the Sawrunner returns from the dead, Denji will likely still have enough energy to fight. Voting Denji.
 
I feel like Denji takes this more often than not. While Sawrunner def has a better weapon (Chainsaw vs Axe), Denji should be able to use his higher skill to maneuver around the chainsaw and either cut the Sawrunner's arms off or wrestle the chainsaw out of his hands with his higher LS. Even if the Sawrunner got a good slash on him, Denji is more than capable of taking it and biting the Sawrunner to get blood to regen. While Sawrunner can come back (Which I'm pretty sure takes a pretty long time and might not be combat applicable), I don't think Sawrunner has more than one chainsaw, so if Denji just takes his, it'll make killing him the remaining times trivial.

To Answer koopa3144 about the resurrection, it's yes and no:

Yes he takes some time to get back up and it's not instant, no not so much that it's not combat applicable because he's still capable of catching up to simon in the long run.

Upon research, I just realized Saw runner has an almost 5x speed advantage against Denji. As such, Armed with a chainsaw and the AP being a very small gap. I believe no matter how much skill he has, its not helping him against a armed foe who's nearly 5x faster. He's getting minced to death in one go. The difference is Between an Athletic Human and a Subsonic character. Voting Sawrunner, will be a very easy battle

Taking this into consideration, hes gonna charge at Denji at Mach 0.1 and mince him into bits. And hes not gonna flinch? It's over
 
If they have travel speed equal to their combat speed, wouldn't that also be equalized if combat speed is equalized?

What's stopping Denji from just latching on and starting a grapple? The chainsaw won't kill him in one hit given his superior stamina and regeneration, his LS is much higher, and Denji will surely latch on to the Sawrunner as soon as he needs to regenerate any wounds.

Oh nvmm, I just realized speed is equalized. Because of how the rules are set differently than im usually used to seeing, I didn't see it. Voting back Denji

I think i need to specify that most monsters in Cof are basically courpses in decomposition (or at least really look like that), so i'm not sure how much blood could denji draw from him
