Upgrades be damned I have to do this

  • Invincible is in his Post-Resurrections key
  • Matrix of Leadership is restricted for Rodimus
  • Speed is equalized
Invincible (Comics):
Rodimus (IDW 2005):

Invincible - Vastly upscales from 13.73 Zettatons
Rodimus - Likely upscales from 19.81 Zettatons
Considering the upscaling chains for both I would say both should be about equal in terms of AP. I don't know anything about Rodimus, but what I do see is he has ranged weapons and a fire attack that can burn relative foes. I'm not sure if this would hurt Invincible though, as he has way higher long term heat resistance compared to Rodimus. I know it says thay they have survived nuke level heat but that would only be for a few microseconds, which affects heat transfer by a massive amount if you're familiar with thermodynamics. I feel justified in saying mark could probably survive it without much issue. The real problem comes from Rodimus's ranged weaponry. Viltrumites and Mark himself are constantly shown struggling with ranged weapons, opting most of the time to just tank the blast. With blast relative to him I feel Mark would really struggle. Its clear Rodimus has the skill advantage with his 4 million years of combat experiance, so I'll give that to him. To bad that won't really be useful, because the moment Mark manages to get in close and grab him, he turns into a tin can with the LS difference.

The main factors that need elaboration on is how fast are Rodimus's blasters compared to himself, and have others relative to him been able to effectively dodge them? Mark can fly so that would make him more difficult to hit. Without any background info on Rodimus and assuming the battle takes place in a somewhat open area, I think Mark takes this Mid to High diff depending on how fast Rodimus's canons are compared to himself. Mark is definitely struggling and eating several long range hits, but I think its likely he could willpower his way in close where the LS advantage wins the fight. If Rodimus manages to burn Mark before getting crushed to death, I still feel it's something Mark could survive and continue crushing him through, just look at his final fight with Thragg.

As of right now, I'm going with Invincible.

They should be relative to himself but considering Mark's endurance, smaller size and agility, he should be able to dodge or survive a few blasts for the most part, and enough so that he could get close.

Rodimus himself doesn't have bad stamina, but it's not on the level of Mark's, and considering Rodimus doesn't have nearly as much travel speed, he probably can't stay at a distance for too long.

The biggest thing here is the LS difference since the AP gap isn't that large and Rodimus doesn't have a way to counter Mark just tearing his way around him. I'd say he's arguably more skilled in close combat but he doesn't have that much experience against smaller opponents like other Cybertronians do. And again, with how agile Mark is, one wrong move and it's over for Rodimus.

Mark is definitely cooked if he's hit by a flame out since that can straight up one shot beings comparable to Rodimus but Rodimus tends to use it only as a last resort + can only use it once. But if Rodimus can maintain his distance and utilize his range advantage and time his trump card at the right time he wins.

Both have wincons, but Mark's are just a bit more solid. Mark wins high-diff.
