I rarely get hazbin stuff and actively try avoiding it cuz i strongly dislike the stans but i saw charlie slander pop on my feed and am now very happy and more motivated to producing the Mega CRT despite knowing full well it upgrades her base either to althlete or Wall level (I WANT to get her magic to being Building Level due to matching overlord magic but the whole feats an outlier now so that's not happening)

Stolas is Octavia's father, Prince of the Ars Goetia, which should automatically place him at least comparable to Andrealphus. As shown in the same episode, Goetia magic doesn't scale to their physicals. Demon form loona barely makes a dent into Andrealphus' Ice dragon only to greatly damage his physical body. It could simply be that Stolas thought he could kill him before he could use his magic. Also, Stolas really wanted to see his daughter so i doubt he really cared for any power gap but those rebuttles are, admitedly, headcanon and i don't like it so i guess bro.

It's a justification.
Magic still affects the physical body, as Stolas became exhausted after being drained, even if it doesn't scale directly.
