My Hero Academia General Discussion Thread #18

Vigilantes season 2 ends and ehh... This season didn't feel as good as S1 in terms of production quality, there were good moments and Aizawa flashback arc looked nice. One thing that sets apart vigilantes so much is it's interconnected parallel plot that is truly enjoyable when you have the full picture rather than season by season viewing. Good thing I have read the manga. And this is something really underrated about Vigilantes.

Often in most stories things happen in front of the protag. Even if there is some offset at the start. Vigilantes just kicked that out. Despite Number 6 being the main villain of the season, he never meets Koichi face to face, and he straight up won't meet the main villain of his story until the finale in Naruhata Lockdown arc.

Knuckleduster is another example of this. He is in the story, actively participating but a really unconventional choice is that he runs parallel to Koichi but never meet him again post queen bee arc.

Lowkey fire writing. But Vigilantes simply doesn't seem to have the popularity MHA did. Although that is a MASSIVE height to reach, Peak MHA was at one point was nearly dethroning Demon Slayer.

yall got any interesting combos composite mha could do?
One for All + Gearshift + Overclock + Cell Activation + 4 Kinetic booster + 3 Strength enhancers + Endurance + Fa Jin + Strongarm + Twin Impact. The ultimate one punch man build. To explain, Cell Activation + Endurance is there to extend the use of Overclock + Fajin and use 100% OFA constantly.

Now let's for a lowball say you have a rate of one punch per second. That's offset by Rappa's Strongarm allowing 100 punches per second. And we only get one second to charge up a attack. Assuming Gearshift is a 5x multiplier, Overclock 24x. Which is 12000 punches thrown in a second at 100% for Fa Jin to stack. Which means already a 1,200,000% stack.

Kinetic booster x4. Strength enhancer x3. Fa Jin to stack everything.

One for all - 14,400,000% x 3 when the twin impact hits. - 43,200,000% OFA in one second.

100% OFA is 1.12 Petatons. Which translates to 483,840 petatons. Or Small Planet level. Just a one second time limit to charge btw. You could just Time spot to make this reach star level as the opponent would be frozen. And this is still a lowball because the 100 punches per second is solely on Rappa, with OFA it would be easily 100,000 punches per second.

Throw in double so he can make a army of deku's who could do this

That's a great idea... except that it would probably instantly shatter Composite MHA's arm if they stacked all that up. I suppose with regeneration though it wouldn't be too much of an issue.

Sugar Rush is a multiplier that can also increase the amount of strength.

Brawn Boost + Stock Pile + Gearshift + Fa Jin + Twin Impact + Sugar Amp + Decay

your cooked pal
Overmodification + New Order + Power + Kinetic Booster + Power Stock + Fierce Gains + Hardening + Brawn Boost + Charging Muscles + Gear Shift + Overclock + Strong Arm + Fast Fist + Twin Impact. Endurance + Overhaul + Regeneration + Cell Activation added to a New Order rule, of which I believe would increase at least 2 fold with Overmodification. Mutant quirks like Rabbit further all of this as well. Zoom + Voyance + Infrared + Good Ear + Danger Sense makes you nigh omniscient. Telepath + Confession + Brainwashing + High Specs + bypassed IQ make you Charles X-Man. Invisibility + Permiation + Spacial Excursion + Spacial Distortion make you a deadly Casper. Impure Beam + whatever and so on. Imagine all of this with Clones and Double. So much to make you untouchable and unkillable, it's awesome.

New Order boosted by OFA could probably prevent that anyways and they'd eri's rewind

"Luffy Victim"

says the random average OP fan that didnt consider the implications of allat hax comp mha would have

(im talking about the sterotypical fan btw not any of yall here)

Sometimes the simplest of combos are the deadliest. Decay + New Order + Anna's Overmodification applied to both (yes I forgot about it last time, but we really don't have concrete numbers for it. Still a massive boost.)

Just "Decay will now apply to air" and "Decay will now spread a 1000 times faster." That's all you need for a passive one shot build.

that or if u get in a certain radius of the person you get affected by decay then becoming a TRUE passive one shot build

Going beyond that would be difficult for ordinary characters of a similar tier; at least, I don't think anyone in One Piece has anything that would allow them to survive it.

Hey, what's the best combination of quirks to defeat a Viltrumite, considering its unequlaized speed? Like, the Viltrumite wouldn't exactly be bloodthirsty, but rather focused on the character, simply assessing Earth for a possible conquest.

It's just MHA'S weird postion on the scaling chain. It stomps JJK, DS, CSM (Yoru did put in work), Dandadan and stuff in the tier.

But can't match Black Clover, One Piece, Fire Force, Naruto, Bleach etc. either getting stomped in power or speed or both.

It's in that weird tier of stomp or be stomped. Continent level is actually pretty rare. Like the only other here is Mashle. But again speed stomp as it's mftl. And a dead verse on this site because of it's lack of popularity.

whats yall thoughts on bakugou vs reze stomp slop battle video they be giving mha fights all the street tiers

Regen + Overhaul or Decay

If the Viltrumite is trolling or arrogant enough to take a hit they just insta die, while their AP advantage does nothing in return unless they destroy the brain.

If they have any brain cells and decide to really go for kills, then Rewind drug or the Sludge Body quirk to stay alive and just stall them with the Stamina Drain quirk. Super Regen will regenerate the eyes which are the only weak spot + Rewind drug if there’s some weakness being exploited, and then just constantly keep trying to one shot them.

Could also just go invisible or use permeation and gtfo for a sneak attack when the Viltrumite stops for a moment to look for you.

Could also use Brainwashing and the Truth quirk to force them to talk to you, then have them use the Hand Knife move to kill themself or just walk up and Overhaul them.

Honestly that’s probably the easiest quirk combination ever. Regen + Brainwashing + Truth + Overhaul/Decay and they just insta lose

Is there any argument for upgrading All For One’s intelligence to Extraordinary Genius? Alongside Garaki, they developed the Nomu, which are tireless monsters as strong as the strongest heroes. He (alongside Garaki) reverse engineered the quirk erasing bullet to only affect his body, and they figured out how to fuse quirks together to make Warp Gate. Also, he literally planned out Shigaraki’s whole life, which is Aizen-esque and we have him at Extraordinary Genius
