Something about Walpurgisnacht size (Madoka Magica)

So, I have a little doubt about a feat (or better, size) question about this big girl:
Walpurgisnacht_Artwork.png
I have calculated her height to 433.12 m, and such height has been used in another approved calculation.

However, here comes an issue, aka this thing from the Key Animation Notes Vol.6, which states the following at the bottom (translation from @ExcelsisBerny):
Miyamoto: The height is a size somewhere between about 200 and 400 meters. When it’s this big, we have no choice but to draw it based on imagination and mental images, so it’s rough, but we’re having it drawn in a way that gives off a really big impression. If I were to compare it, when Evangelion first appears it’s the same size as a building, and when it’s running it’s kind of like it’s bigger than the buildings.

Kamiya: The bomb is intended to be dynamite. The switch is the same kind of thing as what you see with C4 (plastic explosives). We used the one from “Call of Duty” as a reference.
Plus, in her animated fight against Homura, we do see that her size is pretty over the place in the following timestamps:
  • 1:23 - She's definitely smaller than towers
  • 1:34 - She towers over a bridge
  • 1:59 to 2:19- She goes from being smaller than normal towers to somehow dwarfing over skycrapers to then go back at below tower range again
  • 2:44 to 2:47 - She also goes from being relative to skyscrapers to be much larger than them yet again
Now, to be fair, Mitakihara is a big city, it's stated to be a provincial one (物語の舞台となる地方都市。近年になって急速に開発が進み、近代的な建築物が続々と建てられている。 = "The story takes place in a provincial city. In recent years, it has undergone rapid development, with modern buildings being constructed one after another" with MTL, but it contains "地方都市" which means provincial city), and it contains a lot of big buildings from a lot of big cities like Singapore, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, etc., but it still makes me doubt a bit the 430+ m height I've gotten, so I'll ask between 3 options, and I'll count CGM votes for each:

Option 1: Keep using the calculated height: 1 (@Dalesean027)

Option 2: Use in calculations only 200 m as a lowball: 0

Option 3: Recalculate her height to make it fit within 200 to 400 m: 0

Option 4 (suggested): Use 300 m as the average: 3 (@Armorchompy, @Dalesean027, @TheRustyOne)

Size is rarely ever 100% consistent in this kind of medium but given this isn't magnitudes off I'd lean towards the statement over the calc. Your calc isn't the most straightforward thing and could reasonably be thrown off by a variety of factors not within your control, including slightly inaccurate visuals as a basic example.

I'd suggest just assuming 300 meters for calcs, it's the average.

Alright, I've counted it as an additional option to see who agrees with this.

Anyway, as a way to bump this, could you ping some people here? Tried to get on their walls but none replied thus far :(

I'd say 400m is a good one bc its close to the calc value. But just to be safe, going with 300m would also suffice as per the given statement.

I think options 1 and 4 are fine

1 because the sources for the official height says "about 200 and 400m" which means there's some wiggle room for it to be a little higher or lower than the two baseline values provided hence why I'm bolding "about" line since that is important

4. Simply works as a solid compromise and still should provide an accurate average regardless of option 1 being simply a higher end

Ok I am finally back.

I'm fine with option 4 as well.
I made a sandbox with the revised feats. For a TLDR:
  • The missiles feat drops from 7-B+ and 7-A to just 7-B for both Homura and Walp respectively
  • The tanker explosion drops from 8-C+ to 8-C
  • The 8-A missiles explosion feat is still that tier but x3 lower at a bit above baseline
  • The Low 7-C durability feat is still that tier but also x3 lower, and also a bit above baseline
The reason why it's not a full blog yet it's due to this other calculation from @Apex_Predator_GX involving Walp's height, so I'll wait for them to correct the feat in their blog before just deciding to add that too if they won't. (EDIT: they did it already)

There are also two feats from this other blog of mine, but it's relatively easy compared to the other 4 feats given that it's just a small measurement:
  • Supercell calc:
    • The radius gets dropped at 61.9 km
    • Area = pi * 61900^2 = 1.20373578e10 m^2
    • Thickness = 11800 m
    • Altitude = 20000 ft or 6096 m
    • Mass = 47771845986777.61 kg
    • Low end CAPE = 5890 * 47771845986777.61 = 2.813761729e17 Joules or 67.25 Megatons (still 7-B+)
  • Pluvia Magica calc:
    • Speed = 61900 m/0.6 s = 103166.67 m/s
    • KE = (1/12) * 47771845986777.61 * 103166.67^2 = 4.23710867e22 Joules or 10.13 Teratons (still 6-B)
If these are fine or need other corrections, please tell me so.

Yeah these corrections would be fine

Yeah these corrections would be fine
Then this thing is pretty much done.

Made the new blog with the updated feats (easier than just correcting the current blog), and this can be closed.

(Wanted to also add something about the storey heights I've used for this verse but then I realized that some calculations from Danganronpa would be affected too, so ig this ain't the thread for that)
