This is probably a dumb question, but would M2 being able to damage and break out of Nurse Dollie like a Horsehair Worm be a viable justification to upgrade his AP? I recall Nurse Dollie could withstand some of M2's stunts, like surviving a dip in molten metal, forcing a hole through a wall, destroying everything in her way, pulverizing wooden boards by running into them, and surviving a fall from the top of an elevator shaft.

no not yet, there's still a specific AP calc that needs to be evaluated, that makes the Mimic's AP just around 2x weaker.
there's also like a speed calc that would scale to the mimic that still needs evaluating
