I'm surprised nobody has thought of this yet, I saw a Netflix DMC & Leon versus thread, so maybe this could work out too!

Tony Redgrave was originally going to be the MC of RE4, so I thought I'd have fun with this, but Leon from the Death Island movie will be used since the title gap makes a difference in battle experience for Leon. Death Island Leon's CQC'd Maria, who was superhuman.

  • Speed is equalized
  • Dante's Volume 1 key is used (BEFORE taking his name back), Leon's Post-2002 key is used, but is Death Island (2015) Leon for the combat experience.
  • Both are in character (primarily relying on firearm usage)
  • Leon has his tactical vest & all of his equipment
  • Both combatants start 20m away with tactical cover options

Damn very interesting match and definitely way closer than I expected lol

So to begin with its Tony with 0.3824 tons vs Leon with 0.2224 tons physically, 0.939 with strong guns and 4.120 tons with rockets. Tony holds the advantage physically but barely and to top it all off Leon death cap is at 0.364 with a 30% damage reduction with the vest which means his cap could reach 0.47 (right?)

Dante will hit like a truck and Leon is really going to feel all those, especially with da sword but not remotely close to one shot, especially with all the quick healing Leon can do.

Skill wise I'm pretty sure Tony will fold Leon by the sheer virtue of supernatural shit so any CQC they have will leave Leon lacking behind despite his experience fighting superhumans as Tony is quite literally a cut above what RE has. This is because Tony is likely to rush Leon given he will break his own guns before they even reach a solid part of the fight.

Now the biggest thing to damn Leon here is the fact that Tony has mid levels of regen. Any damage that Leon manages to inflict even with strong guns will just heal. At best he will leave Tony full of holes that heal like it happens in the novel and thats it.

Onto Leon, from what I see his biggest win condition is to quite literally one shot Tony with a rocket launcher. Would he be able to pull it off? he has infinite ammo with the special rocket launcher but I don't think he would do it before Tony has reduced him into a non-combative stance. Why do I say that and not "kill him"?

Tony Redgrave is a man who deals with death but he laments it. As the novel explains, Tony doesn't like killing and even reformed the underworld into killing only when absolutely necessary.

I think in this fight they will just talk it out after some time fighting due to Tony sparing Leon and recognizing his high skills and ability and Leon is a reasonable and intelligent person who would see the benefits of an ally like Tony.

This truly is a lot closer than I expected, since Leon has his rocket launcher for a viable wincon. Meaning this match isn't a downright stomp.

But since both are in character, Leon defo wouldn't start with a rocket launcher outright.

yeah... i was thinking that if Leon was bloodlusted or something then he would def go for something that insta kills just like that video of playthrough 99 Leon in RE2
 
I heard that the Resident Evil characters have several feats 8-C but they haven't been accepted and implemented yet.

We're talking about Tony Redgrave, not Dante. Tony beats Leon mainly thanks to his skill and regeneration, not because of the few haxes he has. Leon's skill and experience allows him to avoid being easily stomped by Tony.

Stomps are usually when the other opponent can't do a thing, a.k.a when they have no wincons, Leon actually has a wincon, the rocket launcher.

Tony Redgrave doesn't actually have that many haxes, ESP, RE, rage power, regen negg, mid regen, instinctive reaction and that's it
 
The infinite ammo rocket launcher from RE5. Backed up by the infinite ammo Hydra shotgun. Those two together turn all enemies except Wesker into punching bags.

Vote counted, although if what's said is true, then this match can be redone once Leon gets his base 8-C upgrades, depending on if it does or doesn't change the outcome.
