[Sonic the Hedgehog] Prime World infinite size downgrade

The prime world is currently accepted as infinite in size due to the void.

However the evidence is rather weak as it is all reliant on a singular statement shadow says based on his visual perspective about the void. He outright says that he's not sure what is even in the void, why would he know the grandness of it as a cosmological structure? His statement of it appearing as eternal darkness is that of a hyperbole from his perspective, since he again directly says he really doesn't know what's deeper within and he can't visually see deeper due to its darkness as he saw the Chaos Emerald fall within it. The key words he directly says before he describes the void are "From what I can tell" further iterating his uncertainty surrounding it. An unexplored cave that you cant see anything besides pure darkness is can also be described in a similar hyperbolic way from someone's perspective.

I also don't know why the French localization would be used for an Canadian-American English written show, but the English dialogue should take priority. Even if we were to use it, it would essentially still be saying the exact same thing in a hyperbolic way from Shadow's perspective as I described above.

Overall, the claim from shadow isn't reliable or literal, and the main universe (or prime world) should be downgraded to finite sizes again.

Well, admittedly I was thinking I’d tackle all the infinite speed stuff in, one thread.
To avoid clogging.
Although I agree this piece of evidence is weak

this is moreso just to tackle the accepted cosmology aspect of it, so when you make that you can quickly reference this thread.

I think this might be because French is another official language of Canada along with English, so there might've been some confusion there regarding which has "priority" over the other. I agree with this, though, regardless it comes off as heavily unreliable and hyperbolic.

thought you were a mod for a sec anyway agreed maybe if tails or eggy said this it would be fine but considering shadow himself isn't even sure its safe to say the prime world isn't infinite and methinks that downgrades some of the base cast's scaling maybe?

It would, the feats of traveling to planet wisp get downgraded. As does the speed of the paradox prism’s shatter wave, and the speed of flying to Exception in Sonic Rush

we should have a CRT to address the new scaling methinks

6x baseline as it can be breakdown into 6 universal structures

Edit:Many feats would need recalcs

Wait I thought infinite size came from one of those vtuber Tails shorts on youtube or something, or am I getting that mixed up with those shorts saying the mulitverse is infinite? Anyway if it's just from what Shadow in prime states than yeah should be placed at 6x the size of a normal universe based on omegabronic said.

uh I think tails said the multiverse could have "an infinite number of sonics out there" or smth methinks

Yes the shorts say that space is infinite and endless, but the primarily say this in the context of alternate realities rather than individual universes.

I do not think Super Sonic will ever get downgraded below infinite at his peak the evidence is just too overwhelming.

But base being infinite may end up being deleted altogether.

Nah, post frontiers is safely there thanks to forces and prime

It seemed to be used primarily as support for what "eternal" would've meant. English seems to only say "eternal" rather than "it only looks eternal." That being said it also comes across different from using, let's say, the Japanese script for Sonic games as support given it's a JP IP with SoJ working closely with the English scripts.

Anyways I agree.

What are you talking about? I'm talking about the Null Space feat

I mean... why wouldn't it be a feat? Weird questioning ngl
If it's the prime high five thing, that could be dismissed as a gag. A couple people will probably say Null Space is just a portal escape and not an infinite speed feat. Tho the Null Space escape was done with a double boost with team attacks in Sonic being extra powerful, but it'd nicely scale to Super Sonic

Both of those are wrong, but i don't want to derail the thread
