Two 9-B+ characters in fantastical settings who are subject to time powers... yeah, that's thematic enough for me :P

Punmaster: 0
Lolima-- wait what: 7
Inconclusive: 0
  • Subaru will be in his Arc 1-4 key, Siffrin will start in his Traveler/Wanderer key
  • Siffrin will be 9-B+, not baseline 9-A (which means Subaru is approximately ~21.7% stronger than Siffrin)
  • Siffrin will have his optional equipment but Subaru will not have Beatrice
  • Combat speed is equalized
  • SBA for everything else

In terms of hax, Subaru will have more applicable hax in this fight. Subaru resists Siffrin's fear manip, Subaru doesn't have anything that the Star Crest could be used on, and wish craft isn't really Siffrin's first option to solving a situation + it requires a bit of preparation to use in most cases. Subaru, in comparison, can block of Siffrin's senses, has invisibility/intangibility, and can create forcefields.

However, Siffrin's abilities & items allow him healing, stat buffs, and a bomb that I'd say is pretty comparable to something like a Jackpot attack, which is when Siffrin and their party all gang up on their foes after building up energy. Subaru can also seemingly buff himself, but the description for his stat amp says "when in mental or physical urgency", implying he can't activate it as readily as Siffrin can craft buffs. (Note: I haven't read/seen Re:Zero, so I may be wrong about this since I'm going purely by the profile. Why am I making a match for a series I haven't personally seen? It's a common and fun MU for Siffrin and one of the only ones that wouldn't be an outright stomp in either direction and can thus be added to the profiles.)

While bombing Subaru is pretty funny, this doesn't really matter due to both of their main abilities: Looping/Return by Death. Neither could ever theoretically get rid of the other's time powers on their own due to the power of their sources (Satella for Subaru, who is country level, and the Universe for Siffrin, who is... well, you tell me!), and both abilities activate upon death, meaning that killing their opponent will not be a valid win condition for neither side. Instead, they'd need to try and incapacitate their opponent in order to win by SBA.

Compared to Siffrin, Subaru definitely has more abilities geared towards incapping Siffrin. Siffrin could theoretically bypass/cancel out getting incaped by status effects/sense manip by doing the unfortunate strat of killing themself, but Subaru's social influencing could very likely convince him to, uh, not kill himself and to quit fighting. I'm voting the guy with the unfortunate nickname (seriously, someone knowledgeable on Re:Zero PLEASE explain to me why he's called Lolimancer in the name section of his profile).

Tl;dr: Killing each other is meaningless due to looping/Return by Death but Subaru has the means to incap Siffrin by convincing him not to fight

Voting Subaru just due to the sheer amount of shit he can pull, along with being much stronger meaning he has much more freedom to do what he wants. I'm unsure on if Siffrin can even win here at all

He is known for getting many children and loli characters throughout the series to like him, though he has no romantic or sexual interest in them. He treats them like his daughters. He's a really good guy.

Anyway, Subaru probably just social influencing-diffs here.

Serious answer: he's good with children and pseudoadopted some of the kids he saved through the story.

It's actually a fairly innacurate legacy translation since loli is not a word anyone but Subaru would use in Lugunica, older fan translation teams just thought it was a funny way to translate it (it is a little funny).

It's more accurately Little Girl User (幼女使い / Yōjo Tsukai), a pun on Magician (魔法使い / Mahō Tsukai). It describes his contract with Beatrice, who is a little girl, but only Subaru seems to think the name sounds more like slander than a cool epithet.

Did bot know that, the TL i read didn't use the term so i assumed it was a fandom thing.
