Welcome to Round 4 of the World Martial Arts (8-C) Tournament!

Vs thread Scenario:

  • All the official rules are in play.
    • If a character breaks the rules in battle, they will be "disqualified" in-universe, and their opponent will proceed.
    • Every double K.O/draw will use the sudden-death rule, regardless of whether it's the final round.
  • Speed is equalized for all matches.
  • Everything above 8-C is restricted.
  • Competitors are informed that the winner will receive 10,000,000 Zeni (convertible to the currency of their choice), while 2nd and 3rd place will receive 5,000,000 and 2,000,000, respectively.
  • Competitors will fight in character with the knowledge given (I.E a competitor that doesn't care about winning and the money, not fighting as hard as they would in a life or death scenario, or a competitor that would kill the opponent despite knowing the rules)
  • Competitors will be asked to remove weaponry and protective equipment before the fight.
    • Characters can choose to ignore the request, but if they're seen with their equipment during the fight, they will be "disqualified."
  • Fights take place in the Buu saga WMAT stage.

Tournament Thread Rules:

  • If a character gets no arguments for around 3-4 days, the opposing competitor will automatically go to the next round.
  • If a thread gets no votes or the votes are tied for 3-4 days, I will decide who I think advances based on the arguments given.
    • If a character I submitted is involved, however, I will coin-flip instead to prevent any bias on my part.
  • All competitors are given the option to view the previous matches as they happened in-universe.

Master Roshi (21st Budōkai) [1.4571 Tons}: 0John Combat [0.309 Tons]: 0Incon: 0

So, Roshi is about 4x stronger here and has a much higher LS which, on top of his skill, gives him a pretty good advantage in CQC. Roshi can likely tell JC is mechanical by noticing they don't have a soul, so he'll know not to go for a K.O. He shouldn't have a crazy hard time just blowing JC out of the ring with his AP advantage.

Aw **** me...
Well since it's a hands tournament, JC's Parry will carry a LOT. Now that is a heavy AP advantage however player is no stranger to fighting folks significantly stronger than him by himself with just fists. Not only that, JC one shot another player who picked up a crate mythical with a singular unarmed skill who makes said player about 3x tankier.
Ki Blasts will be a big problem since JC has no way around that. He can only do movement tech around those since he can dodge an en-masse of arrows and bullets alike.
So how often is Roshi able to go for Ki Blasts?

Roshi is def smart enough to work around JC's Parry by doing things like using Afterimage to land attacks while their guard is down or make it hard to predict when and where he's gonna attack from. He could also just use a Kamehameha to blow JC out of the arena if he realizes CQC isn't going to work.
Not only that, JC one shot another player who picked up a crate mythical with a singular unarmed skill who makes said player about 3x tankier.
While that does close the gap, Roshi should be able to avoid getting hit with skills with afterimage or by just leaping over with his insane jump height.
So how often is Roshi able to go for Ki Blasts?
He manly uses Kamehameha's and doesn't really use basic Ki blasts even tho he likely can iirc and he doesn't really spam them. They take a moment to charge but he shouldn't have a problem throwing them out.

Erm... thats 5-B sir. Pretty sure thats restricted.
If only the parry wasn't 360 then it would've worked.

JC can do that too. Yes, that is intentional as of WOG.

Player shouldn't have a problem dodging and weaving through that. I mean he can dodge explosives that can read direction.
He's not a stranger to projectiles and people trying to get an off angle to an attack. Player would def know that Roshi would try to parry bait and player can easily react to. Hey, player can even fight against other players who have weapons the size of them with his fists and win.

Now afterimage is.. iffy. It will catch John Combat off guard once or twice but after a few times, Player should catch on.
Might I mention that Player has BROKEN survivability. He can survive as a torso and a head so theres that.

It's only 5-B when he's in his MAX Power form, and that's if he fully charges it.
He can throw out Kamehamehas that are around or a fair bit stronger than him just fine.

Also if survivability is all John's got going for em, then it's just going to end when Roshi does this.

He can control the output of his Kamehameha and in this key only his max Power Kamehameha is 5-B.

Fair, although he can still use this version of Afterimage to beat JC into parrying early
JC can do that too. Yes, that is intentional as of WOG.
Roshi can still prob jump higher since he and his students can leap "higher than the clouds" and reach insane heights. Roshi also has a lot better mid-air movement being able to accurately strike foes mid-air which can easily ring out JC if they try to match his jump.
Player shouldn't have a problem dodging and weaving through that. I mean he can dodge explosives that can read direction.
Roshi can increase the explosion size of his Kamehameha's to take up most of the arena, JC gonna have to avoid them on top of avoiding any hole left in the arena from previous ones which is gonna be pretty hard.
Now afterimage is.. iffy. It will catch John Combat off guard once or twice but after a few times, Player should catch on.
Roshi only needs it to work like once to land a surprise attack to send JC out of the arena.
Might I mention that Player has BROKEN survivability. He can survive as a torso and a head so theres that.
Survivability isn't crazy relevant here since Roshi can tell JC is a robot from his lack of Ki and soul and know to try for a ring out instead of a K.O.
Why in the hell would John let him do that?...
Roshi can do it pretty quickly iirc and if he needs to, he can create distance with his acrobatics or Afterimage if JC is pressuring him while he's trying to use it.

Really? I thought this was close so far.
Welp, if no one else wants to argue for the Player, Roshi will proceed in the tournament.
Deadass, what is JC supposed to do against Kamehameha? I mean he dealt with AOE before but nothing compared to Roshis...
This may seem like a stretch but I feel as this is a stomp purely because of Kamehameha.

You mean the skill that crushes the opponent's skull and instantly kills them, which would immediately disqualify them?
who makes said player about 3x tankier.
This has been argued to death at this point. Picking up a mythical DOES NOT make them 3x more durable. All it does is increase their health to 200 at max (literally on the profile). It's a stamina increase, not a durability increase. It wouldn't matter anyway because Player wouldn't use Skull Crush due to it being a lethal instakill attack (from their perspective).

1. AP gap won't let that happen. It's probably gonna deal a ****-load of damage however.
2. LS gap won't let that happen as Roshi already has the LS advantage.
3. I already conceded bro.

To be fair, JC does need somewhat of an LS upgrade but it's nearly impossible in his current state so I digress.
I'll get this closed because I concede from this matchup. PRETTY CLEARLY, JC isn't built for an old man.

How would Player know any of that? They just know that Skull Crush Vs other players = instakill.

Just because you conceded doesn't mean I'm no longer allowed to point out flaws in your arguments.

What feats are you planning to use for that exactly?

Actually now that I think about it... probably swinging force. Just find the biggest weapon I can find (in this case SB or DS and calc the swinging force like this crap).
Don't think they're gonna give anything impressive. No idea how you're gonna even calculate Sea Beast when it's a whole ass living creature on a stick that can also grow in size.
Dragon Slayer already has a calculation for its weight (benefit of ripping-off an actual goated verse). Not even over 1 ton.
Even the Anchor won't weigh much.

My ass. You try swinging a 1 ton slab of iron around you.

Lift 4000 pounds for me with your bare hands for me?...
No? I didn't think so.
First of all, what's with that shitty attitude? Did I piss you off somehow?
Second of all, Player currently scales to 41 tons so none of that compares to their current LS (ignoring the fact that they're ripping metal arms now instead of human arms like in the calculation which should put them even higher).

Which is why I said LS upgrade via swinging force...
The same thing that happened when SSBU was superhuman in LS and got turned into Class M via King DDD's swinging force...
