Yeah but wouldn't Vox kinda **** up the UES argument? Vox's power is based around his popularity and his ratings while other Overlords use their ownership of souls.
Hell, the Goetia's magic doesn't come from souls either as far as i recall. Magic in the hellaverse seems to come from a plethora of places and can be based around a sinner's life before they died instead of one power source, which is needed for a UES.

The Goetia existing disproves Magic being a UES for demons, like I said, we have people tanking or trading blows with their magic, most notably Vox and Alastor as well as Velvette and Husk. There is no magical UES here.

But doesn't Andrealphus's magic simultaneously being diffed by 9-Bs while also being able to split clouds and such cause an issue for scaling on their end with that logic? Them tanking magic could mean anything tier wise.

moreso a point that not all magic shares the same power between all spells/techniques/glubshiddos/whatever, not how useful a tier 7 spell would be to a 5-B forcefield. (shocker, that idea on paper is useless)
Does Helluva Boss actually make a separation between Goetia Magic and Sinner Magic? That sounds oddly thoughtful of the writers for the world building of hellaverse.

I mean, Goetia's magic come from DS, Sinner magic comes from souls (except Alastor), as for Vox, it may be that it's specifically for Overlord tier characters to have extra means to get stronger, that part wasn't elaborated much, but it's still different from Goetia nature
