Hazbin Hotel Discussion Thread

No it's not? Everyone called Majin Buu invincible not cause he was no-selling attacks or whatever, buddy was getting shredded by bullets, but he always come back, good as new. This is the same situation? Like I'd get it if this was pre-Sinsmas, but we literally have I.M.P fighting a Goetia and not being able to do anything cause he could regen it?
Again, it's that connective point. It's not the same situation since we actively see all the ways Buu can just regenerate from anything. The Goetia meanwhile never see combat with their reputation basically just entirely derived from belief. Also based on what I'm skimming from the fight the gang were never in a position to even reach a comparable point of destruction to inflict on him.

Like, Goetia are entirely relying on Reputation for their stuff and Blitz straight up thought Stolas couldn't be harmed. Character reputation is one of the weakest argument points for the verse

Winner's having Sinner Regen should be self explanatory and should've been a thing long ago
I'm personally fine with Adam's resistence to Regen Negation and Goetia having sinner Regen (only as a possiblity, I think they're accurately low-mid at best)
I have no arguments against this

Why are we removing Low High again?
Low-High entirely relies on the idea that a sinner can regenerate from being eaten, with the actual comment for it acting like they came back from being eaten several times. Problem is I'm pretty sure it's a different sinner being eaten every time.

Will say, we do have another example of a Sinner just being blow tf up so it's not like regen goes down much with the different reasoning

Would it also be “slow” and painful like Sinners are faster and painless considering pne is punishment other is a prize?
I'd say as a headcanon, it'd be faster but it's probably the same speed with regen speed probably based on Ranking (hence Adam regenerating so fast)
Why are we removing Low High again?
Eden said if we're playing safe, we should remove it

Vivzie directly implied basically every sinner we see that “die” to non angelic stuff don’t actually “die”, which is supported with what happened to Pentious. That is why I was using the fact that there is a GIANT cannibal town with a bunch of “eaten” sinners, that would mean that sinners should be able to survive even that.

Are we trying to say Cannibals are basically like walking Angelic weapons if they can kill their victims? 👀💔

"If they can kill their victims"

Checkmate, if they can kill their victims then yes they can kill their victims.

Regardless, I'm fine with them keeping it since they have the statements. But it does absolutely needs to be reworded since the current justifications are just kinda wrong lol

Eating people takes a whole lotta time and junk, also you have to eat someone which is ew, and Sinners are immortal if you ignore that fr

............................... Was him being tied up and sacked meant to demonstrate something lol? Like I think you meant to send the moment where he just death glares a guy but that entire episode has Stolas take no damage so that doesn't disprove anything on the reputation department
They're very much carried by their reputation, ye. Ignore all the imps trying to assassinate him lol

Ignore all the imps trying to assassinate him lol
TBF they aren't even using angelic weaponry and don't even get close to doing anything that Stolas doesn't just let happen. Given the series reputation and the fact that Stella hired them we legit can list that off as 'Average Hell Intelligence' which by wiki standards is 'Below Average' LOL

Will say, we do have another example of a Sinner just being blow tf up so it's not like regen goes down much with the different reasoning
Also this about Vox blowing up that one guy? Who's to say this ain't an Alastor situation where they just can kill Sinners cause they're a strong Overlord or whatever

Huh? Where was this revealed? As far as I recall, she only hired Striker, and even went and gave him some Angelic Weapons too so lol
Thought I recalled some backwards continuity where her trying to get Stolas assassinated was just a thing she does which he's aware of. Then again my knowledge of this show is very old and outdated.

Alastor has as many unknown factors as this series has inconsistencies. We have no reason to believe Vox soul destroyed the guy lol, Alastor is the only Overlord to have that type of arguments.

Why the **** would Stella (another goetia) hire normall ass imps with no angelic weapons to kill Stolas 😭💔
The only things I remember of Stella is her intelligence rivaling/surpassing Val in limbo, so yeah I wouldn't be surprised if that was true

Yall are being unfair to my queen, Stella was smart enough to lure in Stolas and give Striker holy rope + knife to make sure it works out. Not even Andre excepted that trick ✌️

Stella FTW

Same argument applies though.
If them being immortal doesn't count if they're killed by a really strong Overlord, then it also shouldn't count when they're killed by the other super duper strong Overlord.

That profile-less bird would get the fastest below average IQ if she had any scaling, be fr

Not really since one is brute force and the other is a question of hax, Alastor spawned in and is the exception to every rule not the poster boy. As far as we know Alastor didn't just punch the Overlords so hard that they couldn't revive (with everything surrounding the topic pointing otherwise)

Also reminds me how much I hate the immortality in the verse, what do you mean a normal train is enough to kill a Sinner.

Huh, do you mean Cannibals actively kill Sinners? So you can kill Sinner by just eating him? I don't get it.

No, I'm saying that the current justification is

"Sinners are implied to be capable of surviving being fully eaten by cannibals, more than once"

Which makes it sound as if a sinner is being eaten repeatedly and showing up later. I have issue with that since it's not the same sinner from what I can tell.

They don't show up again, sure, but since Vivz stated that Sinners don't actually "die" unless by AWs, it'd include this cruel mean of death too.

I have no idea what do you mean "not the same Sinner". Not sure if you are wording this poorly or I'm just slow. Do you mean that they recreate a new body? That's still the same regen but applied differently.

I worded it like that, that was supposed to mean its implied they survive being eaten and this implication is more than once.

Idfk why it matters though, someone who can heal from being eaten can do it 10 times or 20 times if they had to lol

I mean, I don't recall them treating Alastor being able to permakill Sinners as this new unprecedented thing either, hell you'd think Carmila would pay him more mind if he was the only Overlord capable of permakilling Sinners prior to Angelic Weapons being a thing, considering her whole thing?

And like, can you show me a Sinner coming back after blowing up? It's the same situation as the Exorcists being "invincible," no?

Yeah, I have no problem with it. That was just back at a point of the topic where someone was talking about being as pediatric as possible and criticizing the regen. I didn't say I explicitly approve of the removal.

I mean 'Its a different guy being eaten every instance'
