What ability is this? Conceptual manipulation or possibly something else?

In GoH there's a character who has the power of Pandora's Box.

In universe this box was said to have released all evil things, such as Disease, Curses, Hunger, and Cold.

For diseases and curses alone there is a pretty simple explanation - it just created the first curses and diseases lol.
But for the rest I'm struggling to see what could it realistically be. How can "hunger" or "cold" be released? For hunger maybe you could say it somehow manipulated the genetic material of all living beings to make them require food but cold is even worse. The concept of "cold" seems like a pretty fundamental part of reality.

So my question is, what should Pandora's Box get? Would Conceptual Creation (type 2?) be appropriate? Or rather something like reality warping? Or maybe something entirely different that I'm not seeing?

Did none of these exist in the universe before? Or is it unknown whether they existed, or perhaps they did but became widespread/increased as a result of this event?

Seems like it just straight up didn't exist before.
The lore is that the first female in existence punished her entire race by releasing all evil things out of the box. It's effectively identical to the mythological version of Pandora's Box which did the same

Also if it helps the final thing that's left in the box in mythology which is usually translated "hope" also exists in the GoH Pandora's Box and allows the user to all laws of physics (we see it manipulate fundamental forces of the universe for example).

You can argue CM 1 then since Cold and Hunger existed before/independantly from the reality (main universe) that they govern

At absolute, ABSOLUTE worst I think this would be pretty decent Reality Warping (altering the effects that reality has on people, such as introducing Cold when it didn't exist beforehand, seems to lline up well). You could then break that down further into whatever was introduced. I would put it something like this (keep in mind this is just an example, I'm sure it could be more polished):
  • Reality Warping (Through the opening of Pandora's Box, massive repercussions took place upon reality itself that changed the experiences of living beings)
    • Temperature Manipulation (Upon being opened, "Cold" was released into the world)
    • Curse Manipulation (Curses came about through the opening of Pandora's Box)
    • Biological Manipulation & Disease Manipulation (Both Hunger and Disease only came about through the opening of Pandora's Box).
    • Possibly Conceptual Manipulation (Type 3. The last thing from the opened Pandora's Box to be released was "Hope")

I do think that there may be some Conceptual Manipulation at play when factoring in "Hope", but I'm not knowledgeable on the verse so I can't say for certain. I think if there's more statements in places regarding the idea of "Hope" that would help make a stronger case for CM Type 3/2.

It could be a form of Conceptual Manipulation (alongside the qualities instantiated, so like Curse Manipulation, Temperature Manipulation etc.) But it is so vague that I think it would be best to wait until the story further explicates on it before indexing anything in regard to its metaphysical existence (outside of the aforementioned qualities, of course, like Curse Manipulation. That stuff is very direct and unambiguous; they don't require us to assume an unspecified metaphysical existence to index them)

Because you need more explanation than mentions of vaguely abstract things.

Hope doesn't qualify either because it still falls under the umbrella of "vaguely abstract thing without context". For concepts you need something to be the defining essence of a thing rather than having names being dropped for abstract or nebulous things.
What would you say it should be
People here have probably mostly answered that fine.

Well the series ended like 3 years ago so I don't think we're getting much more (and the ability was introduced in the first 30% lol) 😭.

The only other stuff we know is that Pandora is considered to be a key to breaking the taboo which it does (taboo being a cm2 law). Plus we see it be used in battle a handful of times

Well thank you to everyone for their opinions. I think maybe a "Possibly Conceptual Manipulation" could work since it seems most people agree the evidence we have points towards that but isn't 100% conclusive.

If anyone else has any other opinions I'm still open towards hearing them out

It is as they say: it is what it is.

Well, if it is able to break a Conceptual (Type 2) Law, It could be fine to give it Conceptual Manipulation for that, depending on how it goes about doing that (If it is breaking it by, say, destroying all which instantiates the law, which by casual progression results in the law being destroyed, then that wouldn't be any form of Conceptual Manipulation. I would have to see a more detailed explanation of the events before I could either way, I guess)
