The thread speaks about quite a bunch more than AP, and that's being the sole focus

Should i take off the AP section so that we may speak about the other matters and leave that to another thread whenever the calc gets decidedly revised or not?

I think it’s fine to focus on the non-AP sections until the calc details are ironed out.

The Relativistic scaling shouldn’t exclude Luke’s first key if accepted. According to his page he scales to CW Ahsoka and the Magnaguards, who clashed against Kenobi.

Also, why is Old Daka on the list for scaling list for Relativistic. She was stronger than Talzin, but according to her page, she has unknown speed, and got blitzed by Grievous because of her old age.

Will exclude from the list, this made sense

In regards to Yoda, Healing and Damage Reduction look like they're purely from the battlefront gameplay so should be removed and I do think some actual scans for all the listed abilities instead of just listing the source would be preferred. Beyond that and the AP, profile looks fine.

Healing is already accepted in Yoda's profile, and it's not a game mechanic; it's part of the character's three abilities, which are skills/powers even used in campaigns.

EDIT: These 3 abilities are used directly in the game's story mode during the campaign.

It doesn't matter if these are abilities used in the story mode of the game, as they are abilities which appear purely based in the game being a game. The current citation for both the Damage Reduction and Healing (Not the limited healing) on his profile relies on game mechanics. Unless there's something of him using these abilities in a cutscene or another piece of media, these would fall chiefly under Gameplay Mechanics.

The abilities that make up the three main character abilities are real character abilities. Force Push, Force Pull, Force Stasis, Force Choke, Force Lightning, etc., are part of this type of power. It doesn't make sense to say that this system is a game mechanic when we have past (and new) powers in the mechanics that are even used in story mode. Just because it's a newly introduced power, does that make it completely unusable?

Furthermore, where does it say that new powers introduced in games are game mechanics and unusable? The page itself states that examples of game mechanics are " (examples include hit points, levels, statistics, world map crossing in seconds outside of cinematics, etcetera)"

Even in the specific examples in verse, it doesn't mention anything close to "new powers introduced in games are game mechanics/unusable/non-canonical to the verse" until they appear outside of games.

To be fair those are currently accepted on the page so I believe we’d need a separate thread for them to be removed

I can agree that the Purification part (cuz he ends all status conditions regarding movement when he activates it) can be considered Game Mechanics, cuz we can see in some media people grabbing a hold of Yoda, that's why i didn't even try to include it

But the game is considered canon, he has that ability there, and it is unique to him, not like the other one that heals after a kill, which everyone has

i have fully accepted that we may not be seeing AP being approved here, and as long as the rest gets accepted, we can touch on the matter later whenever the mods and calc members have time to see what's going on
and we're 1 vote away from applying everything else

Healing is accepted on the current page, so I will leave that be for now. The damage reduction is not however so I'm still not going to agree with that being added to the profile.

The story of Battlefront 2 is accepted as canon not the gameplay, unless we're going to argue that Han Solo scales to Palpatine because you're able to shoot him down in the game.

And my issue here is that people are trying to go off purely the word of the Game Mechanics page while ignoring the intention. Yoda clearly is not capable of equipping a card in the actual narrative of star wars which gives him the ability to lower damage by 9%. This is something created in the game, purely to help Yoda fight his role in the gameplay. There is no logical basis for this ability and the healing in the actual lore and universe of Star Wars. That's why they would be considered gameplay mechanics, like how people don't actually have healthbars in Star Wars.

So as far as I'm concerned, I will not approve Yoda's profile until that stat reduction is removed from it.

And in regards to the AP, I do think the calc page needs to be cleaned up since a lot of extras stuff got added to it which makes it harder to understand. I might even recommend a new calc page entirely for it. But more importantly, has a calc member approved the new end accounting for both the greater timeframe and less slowing than originally assumed?

We unfortunately haven't even decided on a timeframe a we were not sure if the quotes were looked at or not.

Although feel free to ask @Drite77 for help, he's the one who originally approved the calc

Until that calc gets set up properly, I don't see much progress being made. Just do our standard thing of 10 seconds, 30, and 1 minute for different ends for the initial 1% slowing down. And then get it approved

argue that Han Solo scales to Palpatine because you're able to shoot him down in the game.
But then you're referring to the multiplayer mode and what happens there.

If in the story mode Han Solo somehow damaged Palpatine, well, that was something that happened in the story, so that's it.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but I agree with removing the reduction.

The reduction stems from the cards that aren't used by the characters in story mode.

With the exception of the main protagonist, whose cards symbolize the equipment she acquires during the game, equipping the cards is equivalent to equipping the equipment.

But for example, when you play as Han Solo, Leia, Luke, etc., the cards aren't usable, however their hero powers are, which is why I mentioned them.

If there isn't any more issues with the calc stuff, I can give the go ahead with the new end so we can apply what got accepted 👍

Oh, so the only thing barring Duedate's approval is Damage Reduction?
I can debate it later if i'm reeeeally interested, will remove it ASAP whenever this read of mine gets confirmed. Just couldn't understand what's decided about the healing

Everything else in the profile was fine, and since the healing is already accepted on the profile that'll require a separate CRT to remove it so I'll leave it be

Yoda's profiles needs to be opened though (and renamed to Yoda (Canon)): https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Yoda_(Star_Wars)

No, Yoda's profile should be renamed to Yoda, since in the thread rejecting your thesis 2 mods said this would be acceptable
And yeah, it should please be opened too

May you please close this?

Thank you @LephyrTheRevanchist and @Duedate8898 for the participation here

We're going to update the other profiles too in this thread, right?
wym update?
the approven changes, yes, but if you mean a proper treatment, i only intend to do it for a few select characters, ngl
TOO MUCH WOOOOORK, TOO MUCH MATERIAAAAAAL
