Skill? They're just about even. Maybe lao has the advantage but Black Noir isn't that far behind.
Noir has the stamina advantage by a wide margin.
Going with Noir. Outclasses him in almost everything but skill debatably.

BN's gotta be careful not to get his dome shot before he crosses the distance, since there's nothing stopping Lao Gui from capping his skull frame one.

Noir can dodge attacks from Homelander despite him being much faster. He can also attack from a distance with throwing knives.

He can tank getting shot in the chest multiple times and having a bullet punch a hole through his hand (reminder that he's not bulletproof), getting burned and pierced by shrapnel from multiple bombs, tearing his own wrist open with a knife, and survived getting his skull bashed open by Soldier Boy.

What does Lao Gui do if the former runs off then ambushes him? His stealth is good enough to sneak up on other Supes despite them having enhanced senses.

That would mess up the speed scaling since the Hypersonic calculation requires the bullet to be Subsonic+, no? Lao Gui just caught Kiryu off guard from what I can tell.

I don't even know at this point. On the one hand, it'd **** up the calc, but on the other hand, we have shit like characters fighting with guns that can tag the protags like Arase and the penultimate boss of Yakuza 2. Hell, even Lao Gui has the possibility of tagging Majima in that failed qte.
For the fuckery, idk, Lao Gui eeks out by a hair in a direct fight, and I guess Black Noir wins if he gets snuck up on (?)

Shadow blitzed me ugh, but as shown above. Kiryu doesn’t move but it’s still a decent distance, and he lands two shots consecutively. Even then he can shoot from closer range- one of the bullet-dodge calcs comes from Majima barely deflecting Lao Gui’s shot so yuh.

Aim-dodge plus it’s odd how it show they aren’t that far apart in combat speed yet Noir is still listed as Superhuman lmao.

Already read it. Thought there’d be more, but if it’s just stuff like “being proficient with this thing” and ragdolling someone who just appears to know some martial arts, I’m not sure they’re actually that close in H2H.

Never once said Noir’s knives aren’t the same. And **** right I forgot he had his skull cracked and parts of his brain splattered. That said, he’s pretty much incaped when that happens, which I think Lao Gui could replicate with his needles and sword- a slight thrust is enough to pierce through Awano, and he likely could do the same by aiming at Noir’s head.

Not really anything against the stealth itself, but it’s not like Noir will win from just one interaction. And Lao Gui can use speed amp from Heat to gain some advantage in trading blows with Noir, giving him a better chance to win off whatever wincons he has ig.

There's like 5 other Hypersonic bullet dodging calculations on the verse page, all of which assume that the guns are slower.

Like I said, it really seems like he only pulled that off thanks to a successful ambush considering how consistently other characters can dodge and deflect bullets at much closer range. It shouldn't matter anyway since he got needles he can throw which should scale to his speed.

The Boys isn't exactly known for skill wank. He and Kimiko can at least fight against people with guns who still pose a threat to them. Noir also solidly outskills Kimiko.
