Both Daniel and Hansel had minor upgrades these past few months, and I feel as if the matchup between the two previously is a little bit outdated. And belive me when Hansel does lose in the new canon, so this will be interesting nothertheless.

Both begin in the color forest 25 feet from one another.
Both have full knowledge on each other.
Daniel is matured with his full arsenal while Hansel begins in his true form.
9-B versions of each character is used.

Okay... here's my opinion, although ENI... once said Lord Hansel is stronger than Mister Barrel, but that would be a counter-claim -_-
1. Mister Barrel is currently superior to Lord Hansel in physical AP and LS. But Lord Hansel is superior in AP through his tree roots, so Barrel needs to be more vigilant, but unlike in Video BIV: AC, Barrel was fighting while protecting a girl who couldn't fight, so he prioritized saving Margret Sterling over fighting, which resulted in him being caught off guard and getting stabbed by Lord Hansel's tree roots. But since this is a 1v1 match, there is no reason for Barrel to let his guard down, unless he is still haunted by what happened in H&G, and is partly affected by Hansel's Social Influencing (Instigating Fear), but I think he can still focus on fighting. With his equipment, and he can fly, Hansel's Roots will be much harder for Barrel than before because this is an open environment and not Paper School.
2. Lord Hansel is too reliant on his Immortality, and he only uses Roots to attack mainly without any strategy, while Barrel is the complete opposite. He is well-trained in combat, has participated in wars, etc. And especially his Regeneration Nullification (Type 2) ability, which will hit Hansel in the face, as if Barrel has been preparing for this day.
So in my opinion Barrel will win, although he might be very very badly injured after this fight, but at least he will win.
I vote for Mister Barrel.

At the same time, Daniel has much better battle IQ and knowing HanseΓ's tricks via roots and having control over the whole forest. Plus as you mentioned, he does have the air that Hansel cannot have—and again he'll be more focused on eliminating Lord HanseΓ and not protecting the child (and argument used in the orginal matchup).
Through I'd probably argue with the battle taking place in the Color Forest, HanseΓ has a home field advantage not only with Nature Manipulation, but also he knows the place like the back of his hand unlike Daniel who was merely shown around.

Although I'm not sure if Lord HanseΓ's roots can resist his own fire or not? But I think so.
So Mister Barrel can hardly use flamethrower to burn the forest because it will give Lord HanseΓ double advantage :V
However I think with Rail Canon. He can destroy a large area of tree roots that are coming at him, and the energy source will either send them Lord HanseΓ or not, then Mister Barrel will fly up high and use two machine guns to shoot Lord HanseΓ, although Lord HanseΓ can block and blow away some bullets, but that was when Barrel used one gun, now it's two guns, so Lord HanseΓ will take quite a bit of damage, but he can still recover, taking the opportunity while Lord HanseΓ is recovering, Mister Barrel will rush in and use Rail Canon to hit Lord HanseΓ in the face, at this point the two will be in close combat, but with physical AP and LS being much superior, so I think Mister Barrel will overwhelm him before being sneaked by a tree root again. And after gaining enough distance, he will use Rail Canon and shoot an energy beam to finish the fight.

The battlefield being the color forest makes it even worse for Hansel this time around because it allows Barrel to just range spam throughout the entire fight on top of the advantages he already has. Barrel wins this easily.
