Hazbin Hotel Discussion Thread

Honestly the actual part about leaks is like one sentence since this episode's plot didn't get leaked that much. If you want the info without the leaks and just what we have to go off from the song names/the emojis that cover the song names, trailers, and some guesses:

Lucifer is going to confront Vox for whatever reason (Based on the fact he and Vox have a song together) and he's probably gonna lose cause, well, he's the main villain of the season and we still have 3 more episodes. Some people are guessing he's going to go and confront Vox cause he captured Alastor and he may think he's responsible cause of what he said last episode but that wasn't in the leak iirc so who knows

I think he probably won't do it himself but just Angel Dust/Cherri Bomb will tell Charlie what happened earlier, and she will be angry at Lucifer for that so he'll try to get Al back to make her happy. Maybe he will lose intentionally cuz he hates Bambi's guts, or maybe Vox will backtrack and be forced to free Alastor. We do know Al will be free at some point after all, there is a moment in the trailer where he is at the hotel but it was not in the series yet. Also it is probably in this episode where Alastor will mock Vox "you're not even the strongest in Hell" jabbery from the trailer when Lucifer comes.
I wonder how this would align with or disrupt Alastor's plan though.

Y'know I just realized the leak I used for 2 posts ago isn't even accurate cause I mixed up what was leaked from episode 7 with episode 5. Doesn't change much though cause Lucifer is still likely going to have at least one interaction with Vox given the song, it's just not what the leak said. Though it would be funny if it's two separate scenes and they just happen to both be singing in it like with Hazbin Guarantee/Trust Us

Anyways, with the song titles, it definitely seems like Lucifer is going to do something to try and get Al back and yeah that Alastor line is likely going to be him trying to convince Vox he needs more power if he wants to breach heaven. I do think that it's gonna align with his plan though. If what I have in mind is Alastor's plan he's going to try and get Vox to gain more power and influence to try and rise above Lucifer, cause if he can get above Lucifer it means he has the power to fight Heaven. If that's the case Alastor is no longer going to be the strongest sinner and his deal with Rosie is going to become nulled or Rosie gives him more power. Charlie is likely going to intervene if Vox tries to breach heaven which will lead into the "you aren't to touch Charlie Morningstar" bit. How he gets out of Rosie's deal, probably through the Charlie deal he had since they're seemingly hiding what he has to do for her for whatever reason and it's probably going to be revealed soon.

They already kind of misrepresented Alastor vs. Vox in trailer, so this can be the case.

Yeah this is very likely, I firmly believe in this too, my intention when I wrote that was more like "how will Alastor like Lucifer trying to rescue him: will he be angry because it ruins his plan? Or will he be happy to be freed (which is probably expected by him cuz it's Charlie we're talking around) because the deal was to guarantee Charlie's safety than anything?

I mean, yeah, but in the Hellaverse, we haven't seen: the other archangels, which biblically should be way stronger, all seraphims, thrones, virtues. Hell, we're not even sure of how strong the deadly sins are; Satan could very easily be stronger than Adam, and this without counting Lilith or Roo, which are likely the true God Tiers. By the finale of the series, Adam would likely not even be in the Top 20 lmfao. There's a reason why he's the season 1 villain, after all.

I wouldn't say that, knowing that Lilith is a far more relevant character for the story of Hazbin Hotel, taking a role more similar to the actual Lucifer, while Lucifer is her manwife, also the fact that we know so little about her, so I don't know why you think she's narratively implied to be on the same level, it's pretty much the opposite imo.

The verse twitches how it wants to, but to say it doesn't care about the bible is not really accurate. As goofy as it sounds, this verse more or less respects the biblical power scaling: It's not like the verse didn't take the Bible into account; it just transforms it to huge degrees. And the biblical hierarchy among all things has remained as faithful as the hellaverse can be. Lucifer is the most powerful being in hell, followed by the deadly sins and Hell's royalty, and seraphims are among the most powerful and important angels, cherubs are the lowest ones. It's all surprisingly consistent, actually.

We do have a tier for those who don't exist, Unknown or Infintismal. I'll go with the latter since it's funnier
being featless means you have no feats, Adam has great feats of strength, those feats are stronger than someone who has ZERO feats and currently has no narrative to put them anywhere

So basically, a character doesn't have anything that you can use to say if he's weaker or stronger than X, so the obvious solution is, you just assume he's below Low 11-C, therefore claiming he's weaker than X. Absolute scaling 🙌

Powerscaling is not about defining undefined things; powerscaling is about discussing the different interpretations of someone/thing's power in a specific setting, and those interpretations rely on the ones that make more sense inside said setting first and foremost, with a conservative mindset as a discriminating factor.
So saying that you can define something undefinable as weaker or stronger than something else is logically flawed and not a possible interpretation.

You can index it as Unknown and lowball it to Average Human level, even though the latter is not a good practice. That’s basically it.
