Hazbin Hotel Discussion Thread

I just thought " A hundred billion SOULS await our every command!" meant he was adding the pop count of heaven AND hell together and just made an assumption on the number based on some reliable info
No:
Once we get up there
Up to the promised land
A hundred billion souls await our every command
It also shows only Аngels visually.

Speaking of this song, at this moment there are 2 things I want to ask
1. He just goes back to being fine right after, and the explosion itself did no damage to him, shouldn't we calc this too?
2. Is this an intelligence upgrade? the whole song confirms that Pentious isn't just smart, he is literally USED TO making his stuff out of random scrap he finds, so does that change anything? or at least add this to his Genius explanation
3. He mentions enriched uranium, so that means that all his previous large blimps were powered by uranium reactors, which last I checked, don't explode like how the pilot showed when f-ed with, so more reasons for AL to at least scale magically to low 7-C
Yes, i think Sir Pentious should get a Genius or extraordinary Genius level of intelligence.

I usually lurk everywhere while being logged off cause I forget which gmail I used to log on here lmao, but I actually wanted to tell y'all that I calced Vox's blackout on the fly, and it got 16 kilotons. Why is this feat rejected again?

because you don't need to actually overpower the energy, you just need to burn out the generators.

Many people have calced it in the past, including myself.
Why is this feat rejected again?

also it is pretty funny that people can communite with hell through things beyond portals, like, sound for example

Question, what are rules regarding if I wanted to remake an already existing matchup?
You either need to get the first original removed or set a crucial condition different (different key or equipment used, equalize/unequalize speed, etc.) that will make it different from the original one.

How do we calc the hotel splitting feat? Even if you're handling it Orange, I still want to get good at calcing so I can do things muh self, what are all the things one would need to do it?

Well that sucks, wanted to redo Lucifer's only matchup just genuinely because no one actually tried arguing anything for bro.

Oh wait nah I am not doing that. I thought downscaling referred to Alastor downscaling from 7-C.
You may wanna be interested to get this accepted instead of trying another recalc:
Deadahh forgor it existed, if it's fixed then having a MHS that Lucifer actually would scale to on top of possibly Adam scaling to his own beams in speed, means that a full power Al also scales to it considering he has shown himself capable of blocking his holy energy attacks, and just frankly toying with Adam.

Also, side note, why do we assume that more powerful people are automatically faster? If stolas is anything to go off of, then he's not much faster than Striker, so realistically speaking, we actually have more evidence to support that most people are relative to each other rather than overlord's and goetia scaling above them off of just strength. Like, we literally have little to no evidence that isn't a literal god tier being faster than mid tier (Yes Adam is still a mid-tier if we're going off of the whole of hazbin hotel and helluva boss scaling, he is literally beneath seraphim who are the god tiers, so he's a high mid tier at best)

It just means that Goetias are bums and that they are comparable to IMPs. You can't really extrapolate that relationship to completely a different set of groups without feats or statements to do so.

This is called appeal to ignorance, I'm afraid.

Pretty sure it has to get evaluated first before you can make a CRT.
Then I'll do that
Well the matchup itself wasn't unfair, but the fact they did the FRA train without anyone making an argument for Lucifer is stupid asf.
What in the actual ungodly hell did I just read, Lucifer is more than two times stronger than prime and if speed is equalized, that's like trying to fight a sapient hummingbird that has your same level of strength, you're not going to win that battle even if you're more experienced first of all, and second, Lucifer when actually fighting is shown to end battles pretty quick even against people who have HIGHER town level scaling, so why aren't we assuming that he just one taps prime the same way he did Adam and then proceeds to continuously beat the hell out of him until he dies? The only reason he didn't kill Adam himself was because Charlie stopped him, she isn't here this time, so he would just keep going until prime is scrap, that was a completely biased group of people, and it's not like they didn't have good arguments for prime, it's just that the arguments didn't really matter much in the face of how Lucifer fights + the stat diff.

Ok ig, but then that makes me question why Viv gave 7/10 to Stolas in Al vs him
Uh, was that the wording? Also, she was comparing powers if you listen to it and wasn't really sure at all, not in a fight but raw power.

I still feel like Stolas should be the exception to that.
We've also got Andrealfodder... and the fact that no other Goetias have immense feats doesn't have.

I didn't actually mean the 7/10 figure literally, it's just that's how she made it sound so I used it arbitrarily, and fair enough I suppose on the fact that she was only talking about power, still though, shouldn't Stolas scale to the massively hypersonic figure if Alastor does considering that they're supposed to be on a similar playing field if we're assuming that strength means speed

Andrealphus is another reason why I had the argument that strong doesn't equal fast, Loona managed to catch him off guard, and nothing about the fight suggested that he was much faster, he just had a humongous and powerful ice Hydra on his side, but I guess we can just chalk that up to him having Adam syndrome, or MHS imps, lol

This is called argument from fallacy, I'm afraid.
The ignorance fallacy is kind of weird, because if there's no evidence to prove that something exists or is true, then isn't that in it of itself proof depending on what's said, think like as if I was going to claim that fire can't be cold because we've never got a temperature reading that it could be, that falls under the fallacy, but it's not like as if it's not true, and like as if that isn't itself evidence, especially when backed by other sources and/or reasoning? (Like how cold is the absence of heat, so fire literally can't be cold ever)

The thing I linked explains this.

An argument using a fallacy doesn't necessarily mean its conclusion is wrong, it just means the reasoning was faulty and didn't itself prove anything.

For example, say I have a cat named Terry:
"Cats are animals. Terry is an animal, so he must be a cat."

This argument is fallacious (not all animals must be cats), but the conclusion is true: Terry is indeed a cat.

He doesn't stop being a cat because I used a fallacy while trying to prove he was a cat.

How is this not appeal to ignorance? He is saying that since we don't have evidence for top tiers being superior to lower tiers in speed, then lower tiers should scale to top tiers. This is textbook appeal to ignorance.
He isn't saying it's not a fallacy, just that I may still have a point that just got lost in translation

Your fallacy was that I'm automatically wrong just for me having a fallacy, I'm not, there is evidence, I just didn't bring it up

I don't think I implied that you cannot possibly be right, just linked to a fallacy to say that the reasoning is bad.

Oh, then that's just the fault that text doesn't convey emotion or intent well unless you literally spell it out

I have actual reasons for why I believe what I do, which now brings a new possibility that goetia don't need to be fast, they can just rely on their immortality and greater power, so overlords can just scale faster and others who would scale can scale there too, so there's no real contradiction I guess

What do y'all think the next episode will be about?

From the song names/emojis, leaks, and just my own guesses, Lucifer is probably gonna fight or confront Vox for whatever reason (I've seen some people guess it's cause he thinks he's responsible for getting Alastor captured cause he was insulting him and Charlie gets mad at him and he wants to fix it) and then get defeated and captured, likely through either some angel-weapon or cause he messes up which is what his VA hinted at iirc. Why no one does anything to help even though there's 3 more episodes meaning for at least 1-2 literally no one does shit to help him I have no idea.
