Okay, got back from the theatre watching the Reze movie. Shit's peak.

On a side note, while watching I was thinking about the Bakugo Reze debate and I kept thinking, man was it just recency bias making people think she's comparable cause these explosions are like the size of a building at most. Then she did her ******* city block-sized nuke looking blast and I was like "okay yeah there it is that's why"

The Devilman reference with Nayuta’s head made me think that shit was right around the corner, I still think this man’s about to **** up the whole world because Death and Hunger are right next to him, decapitated, trying to get him to kill the farthest he’s gotten with a woman.

Just watched the movie for a second time, and genuinely one of the best movies I've ever seen. The manga still hit hard, but the movie hits right to the soul. Peaksaw Man

well wouldn't this at least mean that characters would need conceptual hax/abilities to even interact with devils
They are not necessarily living abstract concepts, but rather physical manifestations that come into being when a new concept is born.
The only thing being born from a concept gives the devils is type 8 reincarnation based immortality, wich would need conceptual erasure to get rid of.

they are still the concepts themselves, since if you erase them, you erase the concept too

The devils are not actual concepts, they are born from concepts

the coffee devil literally came after the concept of coffee

yes, but they are still connected to the concept, if Pochita eats the bitterness or snow devil, snow has a thing disappers

No, they are concepts themselves but just physical embodiments of them. Hence why when Pochita eats them, their respective concept is erased from existence.

I've actually thought about it a few times about whether it's possible for Dexter to get Reze on his table. It obviously wouldn't work out, but I love to imagine an interaction between them.

Dexter finds a pattern of killings ranging from strangulations to explosive murders. He runs into Reze at a cafe, and things start to add up. I'm not comfortable thinking it would be a Hannah McKay situation because Reze's age range is vague, and she is implied to be a child soldier, but I'd like to imagine what he would do considering she's still a teen nearing adulthood.

Maybe it would be like the scene in season 1 where he confronts an upcoming teen killer. He was about to put him on his table, but after hearing that he was SA'ed and killed his pursuer, Dexter showed mercy for his actions. Maybe he'd see Reze as too far gone, someone who needs to be put down. For sure it ends with Reze killing Dexter, but their interaction before he gets her on his table would be something interesting to witness.

Doakes: "So, Reze right? You said you saw the guy run out the alley before the explosion?"

Reze: "That's right detective. I was just walking by, wrong place wrong time."

Doakes: leans forward "Yeah? Thing is, witnesses say you were in that café across the street for almost an hour before it went off. Doesn't sound like someone just walking by"

Reze: shrugs lightly "I like coffee, Is that a crime now?"

Doakes: "No, but lying to a cop sure as hell is"

Reze: smiles softly, not phased "I'm not lying, maybe your witnesses are just confused"

Doakes: pinning direct eye contact "Sure, I get confused, but I also read people and you're a little too calm for someone who just saw half a block go up in flames"

Reze: "Maybe I just handle stress well"

Doakes: "Or maybe you caused the damn stress. (Momentary pause of clearance) There's something off about you Reze, I should've seen it before, the fake smile, your gestures. It's all a f*ckin act, and I ain't buying it."
