THE MULTIVERSAL CALAMITY'S RECORDED INCIDENT: #1
Story

Date and Time of Incident: ????-11-01, 4:30 PM
Incident's Location: A unknown city
Individual(s): The Player,
???
OST: Dark Star

...it was a rainy day on the outskirts of the city. Rain poured from the sky, hitting the surfaces below as droplets slid down the glass and dripped onto the ground.

In which, atop on one of the buildings, Game Master stood at the edge, knees bent and arms resting on the ledge. His eyes scanned the area, watching it span across the horizon...

That is, until his head perked up. He looked down toward something in the city below, an alert flashing across his visor—a nearby portal had opened in the area, only a few blocks away.

So, with great speed, he stood up and quickly leaped off of the ledge, speeding toward the horizon. Wind rushed past him as he headed toward the portal's location, the raindrops seen as blurs.

After a short time, the Game Master halted his flight and descended to the ground. Debris scattered as he landed.

Before him stood a crimson portal that had just opened, its red, cubic outlines swirling faintly with pulsing diamond-shaped accents.

He reached his hand toward it, and the portal quickly shrank before he crushed it, extracting it from reality entirely. Now finished, he turns his body around to resume back to...

[ANOMALY DETECTED.]

Jumping away in time, Game Master manages to evade an attack as landed onto the ground, bringing his head over to see... an figure standing before him. Its appearance was unrecognizable, and it held a weapon in its hand.

After progressing the attack from the anomaly, Game Master readies himself and took on a fighting stance, his single pupil pulsing with green-colored energy just as an newly objective appearing in his screen;

[OBJECTIVE: NEUTRALIZED THE ANOMALY.]

2. Game Master's 5-B rating is used and is in his base key, while Player's High 6-A is used.

Before I begin, I friggin love that you made honest to god mini storylines for these matchup threads, it's absolutely amazing 🔥

Now beginning, important info time!!! :]

The Player is going to be able to instantly evolve to the Game Master's AP, making it so that the 2 will have equal AP as a baseline. As a base as well, The Player will be capable of easily breaking out of the Game Master's chains due to their heavy LS advantage :3

Something that looks really worrisome from the Game Master's perspective is going to be The Player's danmaku via summoning. The dude seems to struggle with dealing with similar attacks that can cut his body apart, and over any time given The Player will be capable of doing similar stuff. Within like 10 minutes the only game recorded spiraled from a "hehe I threw tnt in your tank's gun" to "HOLY F*CK RUN!!! THE BUNNIES ARE DESTROYING THIS ENTIRE FOREST!!!!". Given, the player causing the thing (that being me lol) was using a copius amount of pot of greed cards, but even in smaller instances players were capable of gaining hundreds within 15 seconds or less. Furthermore, any abilities that would mostly be instant win cons or would severely help the dude out have a little less than 50% chance of straight up not working due to The Player's reactive evolution :0

The Game Master also lacks resistances to stop either of The Player's standard tactics. Any attack large enough or believed to cause large enough damages will be circumvented by a bedrock box, which doesnt seem to be circumventable with his current move set (as per SBA, he will have the intention to defeat the dude rather than BFR-ing them away, so the best I can come up with is telekinesis). On top of that, the Game Master lacks any resistance to the mind manipulation involved with seducing other players (that of which doesnt work on other players but will likely work on the Game Master due to not being considered a player), causing a potential loss from that :>

In terms of other miscellaneous stuff:

-The Player kinda just "spawns in" with every new "round" they do, so seeing their past and blasting them with that will be unlikely to work super effectively
-Due to the way that their accelerated development works, they can incredibly quickly perform feats that would boost their stats (noticeably speed, intelligence, AP and LS) to a point that would completely blitz, one-shot or otherwise trump the game master at absurd levels (this is the same guy who jumped from 9-A to 5-A within a little under an hour so it's more than possible)
-While not entirely in character to do this (although they would more than likely do this given some time), abilities like transmutation, power nullification or probability manipulation can become serious problems for the game master as the fight goes on >:3

I'm not good at comparing two characters with very high Tiers like them, but after a VERY LONG time of consideration, I'm going to vote for The Player.

So like, what are Game Master's wincons?
He has perception manipulation, mind manipulation and BFR via portals, but none of them would be used quickly or instantly in a fight (the player also has options to counteract both via reactive evolution, and the game master hasn't been shown to be capable of using the latter ability in-verse yet :0)

Player resists mind manip, no? Also good luck BFRing the Player when they're blitzing you (Not that Game Master will even attempt to do so).

Tbf, those aren't even the only wincons that Game Master has (also sorry if I hadn't respond, school is taking a lot of my time here gah)

But the ones I could think of are:
  1. His Scaling Tool can shrink the Player's size down to a small size, something that the Player has shown no resistance to in which can potentially give Game Master an opening and allows him to catch up to them if they were far.
  2. Game Master's Information Analysis can helped him understand how The Player's ability works once he gets immediate data just by looking off of their face, which could help him strategize and get around the Player's tactics.
  3. While not usually starting off with BFR or hasn't shown to use it in-verse... Game Master could potentially used it as a last resort after he realizes how outmatched he is once he began to overheat and an provided tip suggesting the method if the fight starts to go into the Player's favor, similar to how an depowered "Charlotte" did with Frisk.
Also doubt Game Master will use his Mind Manipulation here when he really only uses that against Drifter once he got the data on how he dies and used it against him to make him give up on fighting.

The scaling tool isn't a win condition by itself - he warped the beheaded seemingly either to stall or to distract him and he shrunk The Drifter (The?) to pick him up and do something unknown. Stalling enough won't work on the player if their standard tactics didn't already end them...as a bonus, their reactive evolution gives around a 50% chance that the ability simply doesn't work and they'll still have the LS advantage, so they'll be able to break out of the telekinesis enacted afterwards :3

Looking at the scan for Game Master's information analysis, it doesn't seem to reveal too much about the opponent besides their future. It also took about a second or 2 to activate with the drifter standing still, something that is incredibly unlikely to happen with the player >:]

As for the BFR, it's quick to say that the situation in which this would be used isn't likely to happen at all - in the only recorded game instance, players do not stall while killing opponents, doing so as quick as they can. And this is presuming that Game Master isn't immediately mind controlled or blasted to death by an army of summons. Furthermore, Charlotte's portal summoning was not instant, there was about a 1-2 second charge time before it activated. While this could be chalked to charlotte being depowered, even Game Master's portals had a charge-up time in the linked feat where he used the chains (although this was significantly shorter) >:3

It's been nearly a week now uh...I don't realistically see how Game Master can deal with all the stuff The Player can throw at him, plus the reasoning above, so im gonna vote for them here :0
