Star Wars Discussion Thread Canon/Legends- Episode VI Return of the Threadi

man, New hope Luke Should get a different tier with the Lightsaber, ain't no way Luke's profile say he can cut those with similar dura to grievous with his lightsaber yet don't have a higher rating with it
Durability negation is a wonderful thing, ain't it?

quick question, why is it difficult to figure out the scaling chain of this verse?
Because there's a lot of context. You can't tell the scale line just by what you see; many guides and other things explain the context of something.

The same scene can have completely different contexts. For example, Vader throwing Darth Sidious into the pit. In Legends, there's something related to him receiving a light side boost to do this, but still dying from the damage and not scaling (Vader wasn't 4-B, but 5-B), while in canon, Vader only died because his suit's respirator was broken and because he let himself die.

Or the fight between Anakin and Obiwan on Mustafar, which also changes the scale between Legends and Canon due to context.

Two primary reasons: Big verse so it's overall outdated. And it's an ancient verse with 90% of it's profiles not up to date.
So I get offended :(

Because in the verse lightsabers cut through anything except Cortosis (which absorbs lightsabers) and Mandalorian Metal.

Man, not finished yet (I think)
but this shi giving me a headache
And you said you wouldn't fall into the rabbit pit.

Luke (trilogia de sequências) > Rey Palpatine com espíritos mortos > Darth Sidious (sequência) > Darth Sidious (antes das sequências) = Windu = Yoda => O retorno de Jedi Luke > Darth Vader (pós-rebeldes) > Obi-Wan (Rots-ANH) = General Grievous
First, on the SW scale, I'd recommend not using ">" or "=" too often. Use "~" and so on more often. "~" meaning "comparable"

Because many characters, despite being "superior" to others, are comparable enough to make a good fight. Grievos, for example, fought Yoda and held on to a draw.

Another thing, you have to consider the years. Palpatine isn't the same in the Force as he is in RoJ, just like Vader.

We have statements from Anakin in Episode 3 that he has strength that almost rivals Palpatine's before the boost of becoming a Sith Lord, and like Darth Vader, he grows stronger in the Force every year (shit, there's a scene where Vader feels pain in his leg and becomes stronger in the Force). Palpatine kept pace with this power.

So Vader and Anakin aren't that far off from Windu and Yoda from the time of Episode 3.

I can send you some interesting threads about it, but I'll warn you that there are tons of scans from guides and books and a lot of context.

so uh what should I change on the sandbox

Another thing, there's also the difference between Force power and lightsaber combat, which is important.

For example, Windu was a better lightsaber fighter than Yoda. But Yoda was stronger in the Force.

And that makes a difference. Like Luke vs. the Grand Inquisitor.

While they were exchanging lightsaber blows, the Grand Inquisitor kept mocking how amateurish and bad Luke was, etc., until Luke used a single Force Push and defeated the Grand Inquisitor.

SW scale at its weakest day.

Lightsaber heat negates durability. It's not perfect assuming thickness of material or resistance to heat, but in both Canon and Legends, Lightsabers are dura neg from heat. So are Blasters.
so what your saying...

Lightsaber heat slop meta
bring out those poor poor Low 7-Cs with no heat res🗣️🗣️🔥🔥 :trol: /jk /j

once the grievous rework finally gets it's last staff in,

do y'all think Guts vs Grievous should get a rematch

considering it's been 3 years now ,and idrk how much those two profiles changed

Guts still kicks his shit in.
Yeah this. Grievous performs better now thanks to his buffs to his profile and his army of optional shit, but he doesn't win unless you make him out of character and make him fight a singular ground target with Soulless One.

Rarer abilities
Some Force abilities require years of training, a form of instinctualaptitude, or a very strong connection to the Force to access. A smallnumber of Force users, including Rey and Cal Kestis, have the rareability of psychometry, which allows them to learn about people orevents by touching an object associated with them.Ben Solo and Rey are dyads in the Force. This rare connection has notbeen seen for generations and means that the pair have a Force bond, allowing them to see and feel what the other is experiencing and evenpass objects to one another over great distances through the Force. Those in a dyad possess another unusual ability. They can use the Force to heal a wounded person or creature, but this act also requiresthat the healer transfer some of their Force energy, which cantemporarily weaken them. After their battle with Darth Sidious, BenSolo sacrifices his life and all of his Force energy to bring Rey backfrom the dead. The greatest Jedi can use the Force in powerful ways. Grand MasterYoda is able to absorb massive amounts of energy, which he can eitherdistribute harmlessly through his body or reflect back to the assailant.Luke Skywalker can project a lifelike image of himself across thegalaxy, but the farther and more realistic the projection, the more itcan take its toll. Both the light and the dark side have abilities that impact life itself.Certain Sith Lords have the power to manipulate midi-chlorians inorder to prolong or cheat death. Some even claim that Darth Plagueis had the ability to create life itself. Thanks to training from themysterious Force Priestesses, some Jedi have the ability to retain theirconsciousness in the Force after death and interact with the physicalworld. While Qui-Gon Jinn can only manifest a disembodied voice,Luke Skywalker and Yoda are able to use the Force to interact with thephysical galaxy after their deaths

Honestly, this section is very helpful. One of the tricky things about Force Power is knowing what's general (for Jedis/Sith in general) or unique/difficult to obtain.

This section of the book talks about rare Force powers, which are exactly that—a list of unique/very difficult-to-obtain Force powers.

How can a 2k page PDF encyclopedia not contain any force powers sections?

This I know, it talks about crushing the brain, not the head/skull, that is, it is possible to improve the durability negation of the force choke.
Vader thinks and crushes the brain of x character, FRA.

Vader is missing a paralysis resistance. I'm pretty sure he can block Force Stasis with TK in Fallen Order, but I can't find any videos.

Does anyone have this kind of video? Anyway, I think it's possible to give him a "possibly" rating based on him being able to move despite Sidious's rays that have the possibility of paralyzing.

Folks
Matches like this make me want to have a calc member accept Vader's T class and make a crt. But I don't want to deal with scalers.

If Class T is accepted (before I start my college tests and assignments) and I complete the Low 7-C + Class T Vader CRT, you can assemble someone who can scale at least a little (not a specific scale chain, but rather someone who climbs or downscales).

Because when I start college, even though I still procrastinate, messing around with new battles weighs on my conscience.
