Hollow Knight - Silksong Discussion Thread

Anyways, I'm thinking Hornet will at least get preparation, resistance to extreme heat, and probably some form of body control/cloth manipulation based on what we've seen in trailers so far.

Since Hornet says that she's weakened at the start of the game then does that mean that we can scale the Knight to basically every feat that Hornet does until she regains her strength?

sequel, the knight shows up in the true ending having fully ascended to godhood. To boot, there is this part where Void tendrils cover all of pharloom AND YOUR SAVE FILE, don't know where that scales
Also, the void being infinite was not hyperbole.

Anyway I bought the game and 7 hours in so far it's peak. The only frustrating thing is that I'm constantly broke AF. I have 2 benches and 1 fast travel available but not unlocked because I can't afford it 😭
 
Interesting that even though the Delicate Flower is described as being the counter to the Void it still only temporarily held it off. I would assume that in vast quantities it would be a much more effective counter but it does give the Void a nice feat of still being effective even against something that's specifically described as countering it. Though this does still beg the question of wtf the Delicate Flower does in Embrace The Void. The flower didn't seem to destroy the Void when Hornet used it, just repel it. So then what happened in Hollow Knight? Was the Godseeker just so infected with Void that it teleported them away? That doesn't seem to be the canon ending since Hornet makes no mention of fighting the Hollow Knight after it shambles out of the black egg but it's still confusing.
 
So is it safe to assume that Hornet doesn't reach her pre Silksong self until the second Lace fight? The achievement for getting all three Silk Hearts is called "Regenerated" and outside of the optional third Silk Heart (which you can get before the Lace fight), it's the last of the two mandatory Silk Hearts that allows Hornet to create silk inside her shell once again.
 
Is it safe to assume that Radiance > Grandmother Silk just off the fact that the Radiance was able to break free of the Void tendrils while Silk got immediately dragged in? Radiance only got dragged down after her face hole got torn open and the Knight slashed her a bunch.

Not to mention the fact that the existence of Absolute Radiance means that the Radiance we fight in the base game is way weaker than she used to be.

Eh, could just be the Knight is stronger than when he fought Radiance
 
Is it alright if I start making profiles for Silksong characters, or is it too soon? Also I think Silksong Hornet should probably get her own profile considering how many abilities she gets in the sequel.

I think separating them in a tabber should be enough but either way it's fine ig
 
Hopped on the game a bit late since I was finishing something else but I've been no-lifing it pretty hard lol, some of the shit they do is crazy. Also honestly indexing Hornet sounds like a lot of fun, bunch of neat bit abilities and stuff like intel/skill feats to flesh out the profile. No clue what the endgame holds since I'm only a bit into act 2 but there's already grounds for some upgrades just off gameplay feats.

The only spoiler thing I'll ask, do we ever get any clue in regards to what size the HK characters are? It'd be great to get some kind of evidence one way or the other so it doesn't have to be a big point of contention when it comes to calcs.

I know someone did try to compare Hornet's height to the Rosaries and got around 6cm, or around x10 lower than what we have her at rn.

But nothing really concrete at the moment.

We got some more liquid physics, so maybe someone can work off of that, with cohesion and adhesion or something idk

We do have something pretty concrete putting The Void at potentially minimum planet-core-sized being described as "the void below all things" and confirmed conceptual for higher beings, further differentiation has been casted between them and the "gods" of the pantheon too.
