Devil May Cry Anime show Discussion Thread

Alright then what's your review on the show? Rate it from a 1/SSS?
It's a SS obviously. The only thing wrong in the show was the White Rabbit not looking Adi Shankar enough. Else it would have been a SSS masterpiece.

Just kidding, it's trash lol. I watched it as I was starved of new DMC content. I already had low expectations cos it was Netflix afterall. But boy they went way below my expectations. I don't think I even have to give a detailed review as many have already done the same. The least I expected them was to keep the characterization the same as the source material and the power system like Magic or Demonic Energy. I don't mind them changing the plot a bit here and there take some creative liberties as long as there is some at least some resemblance to what DMC is.
But what is this quantum BS. Wtf is Murica doing spreading freedom in DW. Why the hell are weak demons being made into caricatures of Middle Eastern refugees etc.

Did you see the season 2 Trailer that just released?

This is a sign for Capcom to man up and give us more content.
"At Capcom, we aim to sustain our KPI of 10% or better annual operating profit growth along with our long-term goal of annual software sales of 100 million units. To improve our chance of success, we are working to resolve business challenges, issue by issue. Our efforts are focused on core IP such as the Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and Street Fighter franchises, and mapping out mainline series entries and sequels, remakes, new IP, and ports of content to the latest hardware. We consistently release two to three major new titles each year, but recognize the need to grow our pipeline going forward. Capcom owns a wealth of globally popular brands, such as Mega Man, Devil May Cry, and Ace Attorney. We aim to expand our user base and improve our performance through new releases, remakes, and ports of titles in these series to new hardware. By enhancing brand power and cultivating loyal fan bases, we will grow these into core IPs. " (Page 28) (Also in the report)

All I am seeing from the bolded part is Switch 2 ports.

A new Megaman game was also revealed (So perhaps that's a sign right there)

Wow I can't believe someone made that joke in that Reddit post down there

"MAY 12.

(MAY 12)/(SEASON 2) = MAY 6

DEVIL MAY CRY 6" (Or did Adi put this on purpose to troll people?)

Well now Spotify is running a unskipable 4 seconds short ad (Nothing new that we already haven't seen) within a 10 second ad on YouTube and within it they're advertising Afterlife's addition with of course already seen footage of the DMC Netflix teaser trailer. So now if you're on YouTube expect to see that pop up often. (Unless your ad free)
