tbh it was weird
but the animation made it cool so its a trade, although Im bummed Alucards sprite didnt change after that moment

I mean the whole High 7-C Hellsing had came from a faulty Energy system without it, The verse is 9-A, (maybe 8-C) legit, other than the blood river and fire calc which all are ED, every physically feat has been consistently 9-B to 9-A
so Death Battle was like kind always correct on that one.
I think in my opinion, the reason it got so much backlash (according to people) was cuz of how the characters are portrayed in their respective series.
This comment probably explained my opinion on why this got so much backlash

DB did show some blind spots in their analysis. They ignored Schrodinger for convenience and they talked about Dio hypnotizing Alucard while ignoring that Alucard's hypnosis powers are better than Dio's since he has resistance and extra mind powers like entering the mind, meaning a mind battle would end with Alucard winning. There did seem to be some bias there.

There is some blind spots for schrodinger and mind manip that is true aswell though I think for the mind stuff if we dont specifically go mind manip for mind manip DIO has some defense via Supernatural willpower n stuff since stand fuckery

that would have looked amazing if this death battle was made during 2024 or now, cuz now they have Moro sometimes animating some of the death battles (Bowser vs Eggman, Mahito vs Shigaraki, etc)

if we had the 7-C stuff still I'd say Makima but Sukuna could've been a fun alt Imo (I had seen some people talk about it and it did interest me)

death battle doesn't really use our scaling, so I'm mostly talking about thematic and connection-wise
(Makima still my fav)

I found funny how different peoples thoughts on who would win between them in reddit
in R/Hellsing (ofc they're gonna be Bias cuz it's their anime, like they pretty bias, some even said that Alucard beats Bill Cipher)
The basically said that Alucard would win easily
while In R/powerscaling (I don't really like that subreddit but I look at it once in a while) People be saying Sukuna wins (or atleast I saw one person saying that)
anyways imma go ask the death battle question on Chainsaw Man gd now

edit: also him saying that people keep put Alucard against Multiversal demons. I feel like the only character I can think of is Castlevania Alucard and Dracula, Overrall most of Alucard 's matchups are mostly consist of non multiversal opponents

Imo I have been having my own thoughts on DS scaling here but frankly I agree on some things like the twelve kizuki as equipment, etc
Muzan, even if you take him at lower ends, likely still wins more often than Alucard does due to massively greater speed and potent hax like poison, etc. unless you higball alucard greatly Muzan still would also have AP adv aswell now that im thinking about it (Muzan at lowest Iirc is large building to city block whereas Alucard is at the lowest like 9-A)

What's really sad is, Alucard used to have a VS rivalry with Dante, and people overwhelmingly agreed that Alucard would win. What's also sad is that at the same time Dante's other rivalry was with Kratos, with it being seen as close.
So people literally placed Alucard above Dante and Kratos back then.
Weird, given that even obvious hax and low end feats for those two would see Alucard in tatters.
On a more current note, I wouldn't liken Alucard to Homelander. Homelander loses against people weaker than him because he is so hopeless, and most characters are stronger. Alucard is just too haxed for his tier and is rigged up to either stomp or get stomped.
