Star Wars Discussion Thread Canon/Legends- Episode VI Return of the Threadi

Also while we are at this, “all other tales must align” also refers to future stories as well.
Yes. It is establishing Lucas’s works as taking precedence in both Canon and Legends.

What it does make is making Legends non canonical to the Films and the TV series
The Films and TCW are not a continuity. They don’t have a canon to be ‘non-canonical’ in relation to. It is establishing them as the height of both the Legends and Canon continuities.

Which I will disagree with especially with what Dave Filoni who has worked with George Lucas as well.

Wouldn't it be good to make a CRT about this? Legends seems complicated when it comes to being canon to each other.
Nothing requires change. The movies and TCW are already (correctly) included in Legends profiles on site.

Like, defining what is canon or not?

But I don't even know if it would be possible to do that, like, are there Legends content that are just licensed?

Like, is TFU canon within Legends?
Lucasfilm already does this for us, and has extensive guidelines on what is canonical and what is not.

As for TFU, yes, it is C-Canon canonical to Legends. Although it has been stated that the TFU novelizations take priority over the games.

So what happened to Starkiller after TFU2?

TFU is Legends, yes.

However, I don’t think we ever directly addressed the continuity and canonicity on site just due to the complicated nuances on the matter as well.

I still gonna disagree with Epyriel on the matter

Yes, they are treated as a continuity though?

It would make sense to treat them as such

Maybe I'll update the Starkiller P&A section one day, of course using only his two games.

At least put some scans and references.

I assume you were joking there about “Killed by Boba Fett”, but he has fend off Darth Vader not once, but twice
Boba Fett used his card from Battlefront 2 that makes him invincible while flying, and then defeated Stakiller, GG. 💔

By Lucas himself, not by Lucasfilm since like 2008, which now only has the 2 official continuities: Canon and Legends.

And Lucasfilm officials have repeatedly clarified that the different levels of canon within Legends are not separate and remain part of the same continuity.
And said Lucasfilm officials statements were outdated by the 2014 article.

This X (Formerly Twitter) statement as well.

Which was referring to EU’s canonical Tiering system.

An article that backs up statements by Lucasfilm officials, not the opposite. It literally says all tales must align with the 6 films and TCW, exactly as has been repeatedly stated by Lucasfilm officials about the ranking of EU material.

The fact the tiering hierachy isn’t used anymore doesn’t change the status of media as canonical or not in the slightest.

Fair enough, I suppose so.

Either way, that means we can’t ignore the contradictions that don’t align with the Clone Wars and the films such as the 2003 Clone War series that predates it

If Disney didn’t do the whole canon split, we will been able to do the EU stuff, but since it is practically thrown out the window, the best we getting is nuking the Legend profiles, saved the profiles in archived form, and then update it from there.

Also this Legend only profile kinda deserves a revamp as well.

I think I can do the minimum and put scans and references, using scans from the games.

Since I intend to make a crt of individual powers of the characters.

I also like Starkiller.

I just don't know if I'll do it now or later. Because I discovered some interesting scans about spirits in SW.

EDIT: If the game novels have anything good, you can send it to me in DM.

Wow, the two TFU novels alone are over 600 pages long. Do you often read that many pages in Legends?
Yep, Fate of the Jedi has just as many pages per book if not more but has 9 novels instead of 2. As is Legacy of the Force. New Jedi Order is of similar length per book but with 19 novels.

Although a lot of Legends content is also comics (like the Tales of the Jedi comic series) which go by a lot quicker.

I find it kind of unbelievable how Luke hasn't had anything of his own since episode 6.

I think a lot of people want to see her journey after episode 6.

Do you guys think we can calc Starkiller's feat in the DS game of throwing the Skyhook into space after tearing it out of the ground?

That profile is far far better than most, and even it is almost entirely worthless.

None of the abilities have justifications, the AP/SS/Durability values are all exaggerated by a factor of several trillion, the speed rating distinguishes a relativistic reaction for combat speed separate from its FTL calc arbitrarily, and its second of two keys is completely non-canonical which the profile itself admits. And of course half of its calcs are offsite.
What do you think? Obviously it doesn't have everything a Force-sensitive has in Legends. But I focused on putting justifications and scans for the powers listed in his profile, with small additions.

Seems fine for now
Although I focused more on getting justifications, if there is some very explicit power of Starkiller, I can put it in the CRT.

Maybe I can make the CRT today, I just have to transcribe the screenshots I took from Battlefront 2 to the canonical abilities, but after reworking this Q&A I got lazy... 😴

Is the DS version canon? Like, is it a valid version?
Why wouldn't it be? Also even if it isn't, this is still a great feat for a profile specifically for the DS Version either way. Actually now that I think about it, the DS version of TFU actually has LS feats out the ass.

Looks good, although I would scrap the Lord Starkiller section entirely as it is completely non-canon and shouldn’t be on the current profile.

Could also perhaps add damage boost through his charged ability.

The wiki allows you to add keys for non-canonical routes in games, novels, etc.

ok

Hell no, that version of him is way too iconic to simply delete off the profile.

I meant Force Fury rather than regular charged Force blasts for the Damage Boost.

Rage power already covers the increase in attack power, but it is through fury.

But it gave me the idea of charged attacks, which I think count towards damage boost.
