where's the death manip
like yes the scan says they will die but given all the different methods shown previously, does it not make more sense to assume one of those will kill the person rather than them just spontaneously dying if they don't have a guardian spirit

Aiura explains that the death mark appears when someone's luck is at its lowest point. And the reason Suzumiya's luck was at its lowest was because her guardian spirit was too lazy to take care of her. Once Saiki “reformed” her guardian spirit, Suzumiya's luck returned to normal.

you haven't actually answered the question i asked
the characters get supernaturally bad luck when their guardian spirits are gone or not watching them, that much is obvious
but how is it death manip? it's just their bad luck causing them to repeatedly go through bad things until one of them kills them

Isn't it affecting people's perception through other abilities, in this case Mind Control, still Perception Manipulation? I mean it could still be listed as an application of that ability.

They can overlap, but we don't know how he's using his mind control, so it would be an assumption.
