Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

Pretty good.
The animation was very good, the hand drawn bits are very consistent and pretty, the Voice acting also pretty solid, and characterization as not bad at all.

The fight itself is 7.5/10 for me. The choreograpy as pretty solid. Burning Blaze and Starfire Blue Latern(lol) made some Very cool eschanges of blows.

The analysis as good enough, I think It went into details that are not that relevant for the fight in the Starfire section, but not a thing that would me low the score for the episode. The edit was super solid, almost death Battle level.

Not gonna comment on the scaling trought, lmao.
Think it just feels good seeing the Wisps implemented well in Sonic vs animations, considering it so rarely happens.
I do agree It was cool seeing the use of wisps, but I don't they are implement well trought.

Like, Blaze uses drill to sneak attack. But she does in front of Starfire, so she just gets a punch for It and doesn't work.

She uses laser to fly herself out of a building, and the way It looks, seems like Blaze would attack above Starfire, but then she comes below instead, and the attack also don't work.

And she uses asteroid to destroy some... asteroids, but don't do anything to actually attack Starfire.

So the wisps are kinda useless.

I like the Death trought. Instead on how Death Battle does, and make the one character murder the other, Starfire kinda screw herself off. Kinda novel.

I will say that I feel like the base Sonic power levels were heavily downplayed. Brings a sour taste to my mouth when people have to transform too early to their strongest for to get the job done in these battles.

Meh.
I mean in this case, Blaze needed to transform super fast to get the job done.
She could definetelly landed some hits in base trought, because she got no-diff by Starfire before turning Burning.

Yeah, that was my problem. Base Blaze would have definitely put up more of a fight than that. They also mischaracterize Blaze a bit. She isn't a meathead who goes in without thinking. She's hardly as hot-headed as her inception if at all. Her skill would also definitely be way higher than what she was given credit for considering she rivals Sonic in raw skill and combats him. The same Sonic who scrapped with Emerl, who was a robot who had thousands of years of training while having the combined battle data of the entire cast and the remanent power from the Final Egg Blaster and STILL got packed up by Sonic.

Yeah, that was my problem. Base Blaze would have definitely put up more of a fight than that.
Probally not trought, since she gets dwarfed in strenght while in base.
But they said Blaze is faster, and the animation don't really show that advantage in effect. So 🤷‍♂️

In what part exactly? Because in the fight, Starfire comes in trying to get the Sol Emeralds, and she respond with force, like she usually would do when someone tries that.

I don't really think so considering possible new scaling of Infinite being Sonic's strongest enemy ever in Forces being more valid this recent stuff. Blaze may just take strength on that front. Her speed scaling seemed hardly touched-upon tbh. Starfire would have literally been statued, but I understand that it wouldn't have been fun as a fight. Not to mention, I don't think this theoretical Blue Lantern Starfire (which I feel as if it's kind of an asspull) is even coming close to matching Burning Blaze.

Not the Sol Emeralds bit. Mainly her being hot-headed and going in without much of a plan. She's grown out of that, I feel. That side of her has hardly been shown. She actually has skill and grace even with her fiery determination. She's passionate, but not a blind fighter. She literally rivals Sonic and is not like Knuckles, who can afford to be more reckless due to his strength paired with his skill.

She don't actually do that in the fight trought? Like, the fight itself she is creative with her powers, like when she tries to get Starfire by surprise using fire for behind her, and hit her with multiple fires attacks with the surrouding asteroids.

No he not Solaris will always be the strongest or The End
And if we talking the sonic simulator shit it wasn't even infinite himself
I mean, you could say that if you want. I'm not stopping you. Even if Solaris has already been kinda power-cliffed by most other final bosses after him. Even the Titans eclipse Solaris. Genuinely.

What does this even mean?

With HER powers or the wisps? As far as I've seen, she just used standard/basic uses of her fire powers. Not all too creative. It was pretty, yeah. Creative? Not really. I never went "ooo, that was clever" during the fight. The asteroids thing was fine, I guess. But that was, like, one moment that was slightly clever. Even then, I don't think Blaze really NEEDED the wisps. Felt weird and unnecessary for her to use them if she already had her own powers. Honestly would have been cooler if she used the Burst Wisp more than the other things she used simply to bolster her flame powers.

No he hasn't I know folks want to treat sonic like it's dbz where the next boss is fodder but Solaris ain't one of them lol

The only character that's remotely stronger than Solaris is The End and even that's debatable

The rest plz

I mean, your point as that Blaze was portrayed as "hot-headed and going in without much of a plan" person, even trought she din't do that in the fight at all.
I just pointed a moment where she don't do what you just said. It was a example, I din't say it was incredible clever or anything.

Not what I said at all lol. Time Eater literally performs the same feat Solaris was GOING to do by nuking all of spacetime as an intro-move. He wasn't even finished with all of his machine parts, either. Literally nukes the cosmology and dips while Solaris was GOING to do that. Solaris was in the process of doing so, but didn't do it immediately. Solaris, in terms of a 1v1, gets beaten by ONE Super Form character. It is NOT a 3v1 as people like to think. It is even SAID in OFFICIAL material that Sonic himself was strong enough to beat Solaris, but Solaris wouldn't die since he needed to be beaten in ALL eras of time. Hence why he needed Shadow's and Silver's help to begin with. So Solaris lost to consecutive 1v1s against Triple S. That's just casual. Not ONLY does Time Eater do this, but he fights against TWO Super Forms at once. Two times more Super form than Solaris took on.

Then you have Egg Wizard and Egg Salamander, who were BOTH fighting against TWO Super forms with Egg Wizard being stronger due to using the Power of the Stars, which were stronger than Super Sonic and Burning Blaze at that point in time. Then you have Dark Gaia, who fought against two Super-level beings as well with the Gaia Colossus (which was powered by seven chaos emeralds) and Super Sonic (self-explanatory) and it was a HARD-fought battle. Super Sonic struggled a great deal against Dark Gaia and couldn't do it alone. The same could not be said about Solaris, which official material SAYS Sonic was strong enough to beat one era of him.

Then you have the Titans who were stated to be literally the strongest enemies Super Sonic has faced up to that point and it is SHOWN as he struggles against them a lot more than he does against Solaris, especially due to the Titans' insta-kill moves that do more than just knock rings out of Super Sonic, but also just straight up kill him. A feat Solaris has not shown against anyone that isn't a base form. Then The End, who looked upon ALL of Sonic's previous enemies and referred to them as limited in comparison to itself, including the Titans. Then you have the actual End Fight in which Sonic was unable to do significant damage to The End piloting Supreme, which isn't even the actual End fighting Super Sonic, technically. It took a whole ass new form, the combined efforts of his friends, Sage, and Eggman, AND THEN Supreme's gun.

She literally did that in the very first scene by just throwing her power about and the people explaining Blaze's tendency to do so effectively made it a point to say that she does this, which is still mischaracterization.

And Infinite

And Infinite
Yeah Infinite, too. I feel like people headcanon the whole "this is Sonic's strongest enemy ever at this point" into "erhm they only mean BASE Sonic". Like, what? That's just inserting one's OWN belief into the matter that didn't exist before just because it is seen as "ridiculous".

the problem is that Solaris, never even won a fight

Infinite isn't stronger no matter how many times folks try so hard to hear canon that shit
A character that gets dog walked by base sonic and Avatar has no basis of being above a super form

Yet official material says otherwise. It doesn't matter what you think at that point. Besides, Sonic dogwalked Perfect Chaos while in base. This isn't new.

That's most sonic villains in general the best they could get is beating base sonic characters
...at least Infinite actually did that, and he did it fair and square (no, using power ups does not count has cheating, BACKSTABBING IS CHEATING)

You know, being vague what you talking about is not really helpful, i have to guess what you refering to.
You mean when Starfire was hugging Blaze and she uses her flames to free herself? That's not really out character, and also pretty minor stuff.
Or when Starfire uses a barrier to block Blaze attacks, and Blaze keeps whaling on it hoping to break? That's also very minor bro, and also something that Blaze could pontetially do.

and the people explaining Blaze's tendency to do so effectively made it a point to say that she does this, which is still mischaracterization.
They din't trought.

I'm not being vague though? Use context clues and I obviously meant the first scene of combat. I didn't think I had to actually break that down to you.

Anyway, the issue is her just going in completely blind and without a plan and, from that point onward, just throwing power around and hoping things worked, especially with the Wisps.
They din't trought.
They did. They literally said IN the analysis of Blaze in both pre and post-fight often makes unwise decisions, relies more on power than actual tactics/skill, and she has a high temperament that blinds her in a fight. This has happened rarely with Blaze. She was far from a hot-headed person who's prone to getting angry. It felt like they were describing Knuckles more than Blaze.

Means nothing when the feats don't back it up false advertisement is a thing
Ya mean a feat that most considered either an outlier or don't mean much given it's adventure era so I where the Uni-Multi stuff don't pop in until rush-06

Yeah not selling there

Considered. You seem to be living in the past. Maybe wake up. If you think Perfect Chaos is the wrong tier, make a CRT to disprove it. If you think Sonic is the wrong tier, make a CRT.

Anyway, you act like feats are everything. Statements are just as important. If it comes from an official source, then I don't think you have too much authority on that in terms of actual metrics. You aren't selling there either, man. Like, you can point and say that he isn't this amount of power, but you literally have Eggman cosigning this believe in that Infinite is thousands of times stronger than anything Sonic has faced with the Japanese version of that statement being billions or trillions of times stronger.

Idgaf what this site thinks nor do most people in general lol if you thinks so than lol

Feats are important and sells the characters hype ya know why folks could buy The End being >Solaris?
Cause of the scaling and feats The End Had that helps backs up it's claims
And given the events of 06 were erased don't see how Solaris is factor into it

Well you feel passionate about this specifically so if you want to be heard in that regard, do what you will lol. The point is you're here trying to disprove something and just using headcanon to do so. You're not selling an argument by doing that. Nobody'll listen to that.

Anyway, I never said they weren't important. I said that statements are also important. If said statement comes from official sources, that's just it. It's much different from in-verse statements. Even THEN, Eggman (who is a reliable source) echoes the SAME sentiment.

Also, the events of 06 were "erased", yet stuff from 06 such as the "erased" Mephiles and Iblis creatures exist in Generations. That point doesn't mean much anymore. You act like every "strongest enemy ever" statement is immediately debunked by the existence of Solaris. It's been nearly 20 years, man. You gotta move on from that game. I'm certain they actually mean it when an enemy is said to be the strongest they've faced so far.

Giganto dogwalks Solaris.

And again idc the point is if said statement doesn't back it self up within the story then good luck selling that to anybody

People value this site more than Death Battle, including their own.
No they don't let's be real
Only time folks would glaze this site if glaze there favorite characters/series
