One small issue: Jeff smells like absolute ASS. It is pungent enough to make a man almost gag, let alone allow him to go stealth.

I doubt Patrick have a strong stomach. Jeff's smell would probably make him almost gag or Disgusted. giving jeff the edge to attack and then slice his throat

Jeff's absolute ass body odor and the sheer fear his face causes should allow him to attack first, and from there, there isn't so much bateman can do.
Jeff would be the one that tolerates more punishment out of the two, so he could be able to stay alive long enough to eventually incapacitate or directly kill Bateman
