My knowledge on MGK only extends to the anime, but assuming everything you said is true, the part I have highlighted above is biggest problem.

Type 1 conceptual manipulation affects every application of the concept it pertains to. If ya take a look at the example,

Notice how manipulating the concept of “Circleness” would effect every circle in existence.

In your case, if manipulating the concept of roots had referred to manipulating every root in existence, that would be a better argument for type 1. Again no clue on the context of the verse tho.

I don't think root(source) has to govern every other source for CM type 1. It just have to govern every aspect of what it governs and also be independent from what it governs, Which root(source) can do.

The source isn't the concept of the source. Y'all apparently don't know how CM works

A concept's sphere of influence is defined as what it governs. The source doesn't govern sources, it governs an individuals life.

Source was never type 1 in the profile. It was type 2 in the old profile and it was removed because some people thought (including staff) that for having CM type 2 and 1 one has to effect the whole of all reality.
