Do you guys think there should be a page of unpredictability or is resistance to analytical prediction a thing?

Illusion creation is adding fake information into the enemies brain, such as hallucinations or feelings.

Perception manipulation is controlling how they perceive stuff around them.

Both can work similary and sometimes overlap but they are technically different

Illusion creation is making it seem like a truck is present when it isn't.

Perception manipulation is making a person see the truck as a squirrel.

Illusion should be creating visible entities that anyone who looks at them can see, and may percieve as being physical objects. Anyone looking in the right direction would see this. Because they are actual constructs, just not physical.
Perception manipulation would be making a person or persons see something that even as a light-or-similar based construct does not exist at all. Anyone looking in the right direction, unless also affected by the power, would see nothing.

They are functionally identical in 99.99999999% of cases and basically 100% of cases when its just a 1 v 1 fight,.

I chocked on my Starbucks a bit💀

but yeah I see the point.

does throwing someone’s sharp senses of via mere movements count for anything?

Thanks for all the ideas everyone, I understand both concepts clearly now.

Doubt. That'd just be a speed feat probably
I mean like moving in a weird way that probably confuses people. Resistance to information analysis maybe?

is resistance to extrasensory preception even a real thing?

VS battles illusion is specifically illusion 'creation'. You have to create something. Sleight of hand or foot is not creating anything, its just moving.
Mysterio from Marvel is a prime example of an illusion based character with what vs battles considers an illusion. He creates massive light shows that to anyone looking at them appear to be real, physical objects.
Xavier making one guy see the same things would be perception manipulation.
Spiderman doing a card trick would be an illusion, but he didn't create anything, so it doesn't count.

What if sleight of hands and card tricks are used to throw opponents off in battle, don't you think there should be at least a page for it? assuming there isn't any.

I feel like throwing people off should count for something.

And if it does count for something then characters like killer bee should have it on their page

Perception manipulation is more internal. It's like messing with the part of the brain. Where as illusions can be both external and internal. Illusion creation is more broad.

What about if there’s ten people in an area, not including yourself, and you make 5 of them unable to see you, but the other 5 still can?

HMMMM

I don't think that gives him anything. That's probably something that'd you add in a respect thread or for feats. Or something to know when using him in a vs battle.

It's either a weakness/limit of the user or ability or they have resistance

It also depends on context of application pf the ability.

This looks like an appropriate example of preception manipulation maybe.

What if the user intentionally does it that way?

maybe the user is comfortable with only a few people wanting to know his true identity

Will that count as an illusion or preception manipulation
