Yeah, looking at Sauron's profile, he doesn't have an answer to it.
Though, this is apparently Mind Manipulation for himself? has control over the One Ring and its vast military

Not to mention Sauron has Intangibility & Incorporeality, but I guess he still has a mind.
Perhaps more relevant are Sauron's Reality Warping &/or Conceptual Manipulation? But I don't know what he can do with them.

What about Sauron's Fear Manipulation? Could that stop Mewtwo?

Sauron's Fear Manip is passive I believe since it's superior to that of the Nazgul's fear manip aura, which caused other characters to pass out, as well as flee in terror.

Any pokemon second stage up can mindhax incorporeal ghosts and stuff, and stronger ones can interact with abstracts

Mewtwo's Fear Manipulation? IIRC, that's from Unnerve (In gameplay, makes the opponent too scared to consume their held berries, but other held items are still used. In Generation VII, it also makes opposing Wild Pokemon 20% more likely to call for allies during battle) & maybe Pressure, which increases the opponent's Stamina useage.

I'm not sure that's as potent as making the opponent flee in terror or pass out, which is a level of Fear Manip Sauron upscales from.

Also, most Dark types aren't Incorporeal, & Dark type Pokemon are immune to Psychic type attacks, almost none of which are Mind Manipulation. Psychic type Mind Manipulation, like Hypnosis, & other Mind Manip, still works just fine on Dark-type Pokemon.

His abilities with them should be similar to the rest of the Ainur, who can manipulate abstract concepts by being able to create their concepts. Sauron is a fallen Maiar and thus ideally shares the abilities that most other Maiars had, and even the rest of the Ainur. Sauron should scale to most of the abilities up to the true Maiar forms as well, given that he is a Maiar himself.

I appreciate the information, though, I'm not very knowledgeable about Lord of the Rings, so I don't really know what implications or intended use there are for me to consider regarding said information.

In particular, what can Sauron use it to do in this match? For that matter, what WOULD he do with abilities?

Well being an Ainur, Sauron should have an incredibly strong aura that can cause Fear Manip as well as Empathy Manip due to how strong their auras are due to being literally able to create joy and therefore sorrow as Maiar. Sauron as a true form Ainur should also have passive precognition in being able to see future, due to his incorporeal form being able to travel between past and present but cannot interact with them, only see it.

I'm kind of torn personally, because I'm not sure what extent of resistance Mewtwo has to the Ainur's hax. Concept Manip of Ainur isn't combat applicable I don't think, they have power over the song that is responsible over the laws of the universe which the Ainur can create and manipulate, Reality Warping falls under it too.

Mewtwo has strong resistence to MH as he resists many empa hax like attract which brainwashes people into falling deeply in love with a person but idrk if it is truly applicable here. But hey i ain't gonna argue here, this is my own thread.
