Godzilla profile revision.

Ya boy Godzilla has a duck ton of profiles.
I mean look at this, https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Godzilla_(Disambiguation)
Let’s see how many fit the crossover and canon rules.
Many, such as the mobile crossovers or literal pachinko machines, are kinda irrelevant and the rules state that we really don’t want a swarm of irrelevant profiles.
I definitely want to keep all the movies, and any crossovers where he is important to the scaling or fused with evangelion because obviously.

Just so you know look at the rules for both.

Pachinko literally has:

1. Different origin story

2. Feats

3. And even new transformations

Also Symphogear is CANON to the Symphogear game.

You know, I was looking through the profiles, and some have... questionable justifications for ratings. I mean, this one and this one don't have justifications, past "uh yeah he broke a building and he is large so he is large building level : )"

Goji '54's got some calcs that could be checked out.

My question is what's on the chopping block? Movies and main games I think should stay without question as well as any canon crossovers.

Rule 4 kinda says no.

“Franchises which contain non-canonical spin-offs/movies/videogames, et cetera, each with their own continuities and feats, yet not to the extent that Marvel and DC Comics do, should only be allowed profiles for notable original characters from said spin-offs, and not alternate versions of canonical characters, unless they are very prominent and notable.”
I mean a slightly different version of Godzilla from an obscure, yet admittedly kinda neat pachinko machine isn’t exactly notable.
Especially since it leans towards original characters.

“Also look at these from the canon page
However, if it is obscure, does not have enough of a distinctive story to even qualify as a separate character (such as if it originates within a fighting game), and very limited information to scale the statistics from, it should likely not be featured.”
And
“However, problem can arise from this: If one were to allow all alternate and/or non-canon versions of said characters, we would eventually be crowded with dozens of alternate profiles for the same characters, as well as composite profiles that cross-scale across multiple continuities and inflate the number of pages even more.”

It is clear the point of these rules are to prevent bloated profile amounts, especially for ones that aren’t unique or notable.

Movies and main games: of course, especially since some of them have unique characters (Bagan and Obsidius.) that would scale to the main cast.

Pretty much any minor or obscure game/book profile, especially one-off mobile crossovers, should be on the chopping block. Unless they are super unique, like the Eva ones, or important to scaling.

He has new transformation and powers soo...

Also he is not a crossover

I was referring to many of the mobile crossovers like dragon quest and 47 Heroines.

Also the new transformation is kinda a small change, and not really anything unique. Since it’s mostly stats, same with the small amount of new abilities.

However he has his own feats like destroying that meteorite, fighting Keizer Ghidorah, Destroyah, Heodrah, Biollante, Gigan and King Ghidorah in a row.

Also again he has a different back story and a new transformation.

Yeah, that’s all just stats.

He fights most of them in the mainline series anyway.
Not any meaningful differences. Even the transformation is mostly stats.

Just a difference in AP isn't enough for a profile, this is why we don't have JoJo anime profiles (they're actually tier 7 lol)

I suppose that is fair. What if they're condensed though into say, one or two pages? Godzilla (games) and Godzilla (books)? That should reduce clutter by quite a lot and still allow for the rather abundant games' abilities, stats and other stuff so that all the work doesn't need to get deleted.

That'd be a composite profile, and those aren't allowed, I'm afraid.

Ehhh, then we would just have a really big profile.

I would say just keep the really notable or unique game profiles how they are, same with books and comics.

But the backstory is totally different
It isn’t so different so that this Goji is a very unique entity.
I mean he is mostly the same besides like two small abilities, and a slightly different super form.

I mean dude if we follow this the way you want even books/comics profiles are gonna be deleted.

Abilities don’t really mean anything.

If the books and comics aren't too obscure they can be kept I'm sure.

If have a different AP and powers is not enough then All Godzilla profiles must be deleted...

Many share the same powers, the only thing that changes is the story background and AP.
I understand that, but first off, even as a very casual Godzilla enjoyer I know there's more differences than that, secondly those are much less obscure and therefore are fine.

Soo again which profiles need to be deleted?

This thread is to decide what.

I will have to go for a bit but when I finish I will come up here and start.

Haven't we already have had many different Godzilla discussions? I thought they're already following rules about keeping the continuities seperated. Or at least most of them.

That's not what's being discussed here. All profiles are for different continuities, this thread is for deleting crossovers and super obscure stuff that's barely different from the mainstream.
Yeah, lol

Althought I insist that Pachinko Godzilla is fine since he has feats and also a story to back up them, plus was made by Toho themselves at difference with many other Godzilla games.
