Worst Fanfictions Ever (New Forum)

Yeah, I remember the Maria one you linked a while back too, that was funny lol.

I kinda sorta get the point they either took them down or toned it down, whatever. Same for Honkai 3rd I imagine, but it's been a cold hard minute since I last played that game so idk (Tho I do know those special bond sort episodes was a thing like dating Rita or even Kiana to name a few).

But when you see those chars from either series or more, how can you NOT waifu them owo.

true, if symphogear XDU had something like captain verse like honkai they would be top tier waifus. But no lol, let's make them yuri but still not confirm their relationship while coming as close as possible to confirming.
I know merch sales would drop if the symphogear character are confirmed to be gay, but AU's are a thing, they could easily make the main timeline gears gay and an alt timeline bi if they want to appeal to both sides so much, but noooo~

I don't get the whole "appeal to both sides" thing that keeps coming up, are they not meant to just be creating characters?

That's pretty much why I ignore whatever is even in canon whenever I write fanfic harems (yes, I do this sort of thing quite a bit).

Not that I make fanfics with harems as the main content, that's a side thing compared to the things I make which is the story itself and try to make them "enjoyable" if not "decently readable" to follow.

I've been re-reading and even watching some Baki the Grappler series stuff.

It'd be so funny to make a Baki esque character...but with like some shonen/CN Cultivator type stuff, and the whole plot of the setting they're in is just the MC going around destroying people like a Hanma.

I remember seeing a fanfic of Natsu going to BlazBlue universe and gaining a harem suddenly...god they butchered my fav characters so badly.

Then there is another one where I remember Naruto being the grandchild of Alucard and Integra thus meaning he activated powers of Dracula when he was 10 years old. Wearing Alucard's outfit and mastered everything and the fic bashes a lot of people.
 
I realize why waifu culture is so important. Waifu games eg azur lane cater to the lonely person who’s a social shut in that barely goes outside due to overworking themselves and wants a escapist power fantasy where they feel they have done something. If waifus make them a bit happy in their wretched lives then it is worth it for them. They are simple, overworked people who are lonely as heck feel the need to be loved. If they can't get the love of a real person, then next best thing is an anime girl. It is like a sad, lonely way to feel loved. Which is why I never will respect more fortunate people who don’t understand them calling them creepy for liking anime /fictional characters, cause that is ALL THE DAMN THING They HAVE.

I feel like authors who do this just do it for the sake for having their fav anime characters be like ultra chad alpha dude for the sake of it, one of which means gaining a harem to go along cuz wtf not?

And Naruto...not surprised they do that. And I'm sure this shit happens with Izuku as well in today's fanfic genre...

Not even just this, they also put said characters in worlds that they would look so out of place for a lot of reasons. Not because of the art style they're in contrasting with whatever an author in question puts them in, but just for the "tone" and "setting" the characters are from originally that unless they're similar wouldn't mesh well at all.

Pretty much why I don't do crossovers, much less with other characters from another series unless it's similar enough or they got something from their home series that PROBABLY could work fine if you tune it to the series you're putting them in. Like some Fate characters being put in DxD for what I see, or maybe Senran Kagura with Taimanin (NSFW series usually, IK. But it has a SFW ver that came out a few yrs ago...but it's just a start of it.), or something you can mix and mash with.

Gohan is a self insert for many fans so it’s not surprising they only watched the anime or only read fan fiction or just only watched the history of trunks OVA comparing him to his future timeline counterpart and don’t understand his character in the slightest

Pretty much, as it is crazy on how they get Gohan's character so utterly wrong. Because they think Gohan is always his Cell Saga or Future Self and think thats how the character should be. Ignoring Future Gohan is completely different in terms of personality and upbringing, where as Gohan we saw in the series never liked fighting at all, NOT ONCE.

This fans go "But Gohan wanted to go to Namek, and also Gohan wanted to fight to save the Namekians and all him wanting to fight Androids!" but yeah...Gohan wanted to go to Namek to revive Piccolo, and the others because he flinched and hesitated in the fight with Nappa in Saiyan Saga ANOTHER example of Gohan utterly scared and not wanting to fight. Also he wants to fight Frieza because he wants to help out but realises his weakness, and the Androids because he don't want to see the Earth in ruins. Not because of enjoyment of fighting or being uber edgy or cool.

Plus even in SSJ2 Gohan states he HATES fighting, and the idea of killing Cell (Many people hilariously forgot that detail), and even from 5 to now he prefers studying and has a gentle heart who doesn't like fighting. Piccolo stated this, Vegeta noted this and so did many others.

I mean, to be fair, the bit I'm talking about is with Teen Future Gohan, it's not necessarily unrealistic for him to be sad after all his friends and his dad and Goku died and he's way too weak to avenge them.

It's crazy that they think Super ruined him, because right now, he is actively training to protect the Earth, and fully willing to fight, he just has a balance he's maintaining.

I stopped questioning their age for a long time when I found out that one "Toad Skywalker" centric author was apparently like in their 30's (although admittedly I'm not that far in age to getting there soon) and apparently something about taking any sort of criticism, even helpful ones like having improved writing any seriously...

IDK. I vaguely remember someone mentioning their age on here some time ago.

The way the write, even just their OC name alone, sounds like someone in High School or below age.

Them being 30 and still writing like that, assuming that's actually true is...wow.
 
Well that's what I assume that guy is at.

If he's literally in his 30's with such low-quality writing (unless they're really just trolling) and also can't even take genuine writing advice seriously, then I kinda fear the rest on that platform.

I feel it's saying a lot considering I'm also on there but actually make an effort to have my stories...well, have "substance".
