The purpose of this thread is to come up with silly bogus news stories relating to video games and other popular culture! It is preferred that one create an eyecatching news headline and add a link to something silly but related to the news headline. Here are some examples:

Gameplay footage of Super Mario Odyssey leaked.

Chrono Trigger remake being Kickstarted.

Project Sonic 2017 to have unique game mechanics drastically departing from series' norm.

Half-Life remake Black Mesa finally out of beta, meets mixed reception.

Footage of new Kirby game with photorealistic art direction.

Star Wars spinoff film released last December met with universal loathing.

I saw a post saying that the new Mass Effect is the new No Man's Sky.

I hope this was a April fools joke :/

While I do think its a bit disappointing I wouldnt dare put it in the same category as One Man's Lie.

@Repp

That's neat! Oh, and I didn't mean fake news in the sense of the term that gets carelessly thrown about these days. Here, let me edit the OP.

Heh, that John Oliver bit was funny. He can make a really good joke sometimes, even if I don't often agree with him.

Pretty much, no point in keeping this open unless someone gets something really funny.
